Okay, i now the Soviets offered support to the Argentinian military regime as you can read in some of the daily updates found in the The Falklands War - Timeline, but never knew this from a Twitter post i found related to events on April 19th 1982: April 19th 1982: Soviet Submarine K-525 "Archangelsk" still shadows the task force. It has been watching since April 5th & will do so until May 21st and now with orders to her Captain, AP Ilyushkin, to sink the British aircraft carriers if needed...
Archangelsk is the eyes and ears of a battle group of five Soviet warships in the South Atlantic, headed by helicopter carrier cruiser Project 1123 "Moskva" and the UK is watching them too...So what would be the result if K-525 "Archangelsk" gets the order to fire at the British Taskforce.

A Twitter post. Any verification beyond that?
K-525 was a new Oscar at this time; this just smacks of someone’s fantasy.

This post below, but seems the author kinda backtracks the claim as he says, there is evidence but: I've got it, but it could take days, even weeks to dig it out. As you can imagine, there's a lot of paperwork and digital transcripts this end. To say I'm drowning in them is an understatement. But yes, it's well sourced.I never have heard about it, none of the Day by Day accounts i used for the Falklands Day to Day Real-time project mentioned a Soviet Oscar tracking the British Task force nor that its captain had order to fire if needed.

Thanks, seems you found some more information before i did, which means this thread is not plausible, unless the author of the twitter post i mentioned proofs otherwise with information that can be backed up.

Assuming it all works as described: that is an Article 5. Goodbye planet.
