For starters, both "Nash Bridges" and "Walker, Texas Ranger" do not end in 2001. They both come back for one more season that fall. "Nash Bridges" is still on Friday nights and "Walker" is still on Saturday night. Both shows are still on CBS. "Nash Bridges" is now in its 7th and final season. And "Walker" is now in its 10th and final season.
-In February 2002, there is a crossover between "Nash Bridges" and "Walker, Texas Ranger". Both teams are chasing after terrorists and drug dealers. There are the usual shootouts, fight scenes and car chases. They chase after the perpetrators (both primary and secondary) in their respective vehicles. Nash and Joe (Don Johnson and Cheech Marin) in Nash's Cuda. And Walker and Trivette (Chuck Norris and Clarence Gilyard) in Walker's truck.
Part 1 of the crossover is on "Nash Bridges" with Chuck Norris and Clarence Gilyard guest starring as Walker and Trivette respectively. Judson Mills also guest stars as Gage and Nia Peeples as Sydney. And Part 2 is on "Walker, Texas Ranger" with Don Johnson and Cheech Marin guest starring as Nash and Joe respectively. Jeff Perry also guest stars as Harvey and Cress Williams as Antwon.
Alex (Sheree J. Wilson) is also in the crossover. And yes, she gets kidnapped for the umpteenth time. There's a small moment where Nash asks Walker if she gets kidnapped a lot. Walker says she does. Joe remarks she's got really bad luck.
In the end, Nash, Joe, Walker and Trivette catch the bad guys, arrest them and put them behind bars.
The event is high-rated. CBS wanted to do this crossover before both shows ended. And in May 2002, both shows finally do end.
