That depends on how you view Soumaoro Kanté. My west African history is not that good, but I tend to think if the winners demonized you as a "force of evil" then you must have had a serious impact locally, like say Napoleon did in Europe? I can only project an outcome with what little I know. Islam might have been restrained to the north for a while and the slave trade might have flowed west to east, instead of east to west and south to north to the seas. Beyond that speculation, I refuse to go. |
