Le Corbusier's Urban vision Le Plan Voisin and Le Plan Obus

Been to Paris three times, i like how it is now, this plan would not get my vote.

The Eifeltower would be just a high tower among these hige buildings, now it is a icon, center of Paris where ever you look.

Looks pretty horrible. What have the French ever done to have deserved this?

Le Corbusier madness was welcome by other Architects and later by politician in Belgium...

The First proposal came from Stanislas Jasinski in 1929 "Centralisation de Tous les Locaux D'Admintration Ministedielle"
His idea to demolish in Centrum of Brussel at long Boulevard Anspach from stock exchange down, everything and put several high-rise building of 30 floors high.
those would house all Ministry of Belgium


Next on List was Victor Bourgeois
He proposed Master Plan for Brussel "La Nouveau Bruxelles" in 1929
Werethe Train and Car traffic new arrange on North south axe for future Highways and international rail service.
by building new International Train station with Aeroport in North Brussel, connecting with new South Train station.
the old Train stations and north quarter would be demolish and new social residential area are build for ten thousand people.
in defence for Victor Bourgeois his plan was Best solution for many problems Brussle had in 1930s

Plan Manhattan 1969
As the Great France build La Defence in Paris, the Little Belgians wanted Their version in Brussel.
here meet megalomania, corruption and craving for recognition, as Brussle Adminstration united with belgium most corrupt politicians.
Original planned as World Trade Center with shopping centre and connection to Train station North,
Became complex of maximum 80 office high-rise building !

sadly the project was push true, the north quarter complete demolish in 1970 follow with building of World Trade Center.
in 1973 the progress of Plan Manhattan ended abrupt do Oil crisis, next 20 years the area lie waste
in 1990s restart the real estate developments, who complete ignored the old Plan Manhattan design
