Did you cut and paste from another thread as the urban transportation heading doesn't really fit here?

Also some of these original plans for the White House and capital building did not have to be in Washington DC they could’ve been in other proposed areas for the capital such as Boston but Philadelphia New York City or both areas the US Congress used . Also Washington chose marble instead of Breck because break look like Monarch old world style governments. George Washington could have just had the ministers come to him at Mount Vernon
