Cabinentaxi was unique german urban transportations system
Design for high frequency using the Track up and under side rails.
and unique feature that client can select it's destination on the line and drive direct there, without in between stops !
Why it failed ?
First at all it was ministry of science project, not ministry of transportation.
The system reach 1981 the ready for production, but there was lack interest in conservative government under Helmut Kohl.
Special that project was heavy promoted by previous socialist government under Helmut Schmitt...
