What if the Spanish head of state realized Spain had nothing to gain from joining in the scramble?
Personally I think what was in OTL Spanish Sahara & Cape Juby would go to Italy, considering Britain wouldn't want it but also wouldn't want them to go to France, like with Eritrea. Then when Italy recovers from the great depression and starts heavily investing in it's colonies I think the ''Italian Sahara'' would become far wealthier than the western Sahara is in OTL. And considering Italy would still lose ww2 and won't cling on to it's colonies like Spain did, that would avoid the Italian Sahara from being recolonized by Morocco like the western Sahara was in OTL. But what do you guys think?
