I think this deserves a separate thread.
Given that Iran
1. Is militarily self sufficient and can produce a wide variety of weapons
2. Can crush any force on the planet
Whom does it ally itself with?
Allying with Germany gives the possibility of conquering the Middle East. Allying with Britain gives a chance to sell oil and make lots of money.
Which one would Iran choose?

probably Germany because they are similar brutal and repressive dictatorships and also they have common enemies. Britain is the power that currently [in 1939] dominates the ME and used to dominate Iran and the USSR is not only an atheist regime but will be seen as a more direct threat than Nazi Germany. Plus another common factor would be their hatred of Jews.

Do you see Iran taking all of the Middle East? How do you imagine tech exchange between Iran and the rest of the world?
Well they have very little to stop them. Britain is massively overstretched at this point and has a huge technological disadvantage while the loss of Iranian oil and probably quick loss of Iraqi sources. The big problem in the medium term is that Arab Sunnis could be less than happy with being occupied by Iranian Shias, especially when the leadership of the latter are so extreme in their 'moral' stance. However expect brutal oppression of any resistance.
Not sure what the situation would be inside Iran. It has lost its OTL allies and sources of trade so there are likely to be some issues. Not sure what the basis for their home produced electronics, especially chips and the like but suspect that they rely on imports for that so could have problems in the medium term. For internal opposition to the oppressive regime I fear it would be largely muted by the ISOT. For one thing their sources of external inspiration has been removed or at least gravely weakened. Also the ISOT, so favourable to Iranian power, is likely to be presented by the regime as a sign of divine support and that would both harden their own views and undermine some of the opposition.
I would say as little as possible as the Iranians would seek to keep their own technological superiority to themselves. I definitely can't see them sharing any nuclear technology and expect them to accelerate their work on their own nuclear weapons. They might be willing to sell weapons to Germany, at least in the short term, especially if their confident it can't be reverse engineered.

First off, which dates for 2020 and 1939? I'm guessing January 1st for 1939.
Many Iranians are Secular and Progress. Very small population of Atheists, Jews (8k) and Gays. Those Iranians would warn the Allies and give them knowledge to advance their tech/tactics. 8 months to prepare for WW2 and improve their military/economy
Poland is forced to pay and cede territory to the Soviets in exchange for their assistance against Nazi Germany. Hitler still invades but is repulsed with heavy casualties. French invasion and German Civil War ends the Nazis
Italy 'disappears' Mussolini, pays MASSIVE reparations to Ethiopia and FORCED to investigate the Catholic Church for Child Abuse (Iran is Muslim so they would enjoy putting a spotlight on the Vatican)
While the Soviets did help Poland they also nommed the Baltics and take a bite out of Romania (their reputation is shit due to their historical involvement with the Axis and Holocaust)
Iran is forced to create an alliance with other Muslim states so that the Soviets and Chinese don't get any ideas. They get paid to supply arms and advisors to every nation bordering the Soviets and later the Chinese (rake up that cash)
Covid is the first priority after WW2 then the dismantling of colonies. The nation of Israel is only 30% Jewish with 30% Shia Muslims, 30% Sunni Muslims and 10% Pagans/Christians (Similar to Lebanon)
China is divided between Communist North and KMT South like Korea and Vietnam. While the number of nukes is much lower more nations have them so this alternate Cold War has fewer wars
Nigerian and Sudan Civil Wars prevented. Rwanda Genocide and Yugoslavian breakup also don't happen
Black American Muslims move to Iran. US is forced to accept Civil Rights or risk complete anarchy.
The Bolsanaro family is killed because of how poorly they handled Covid in Brazil in our timeline, 600k DEATHS. Same with the Trump family and other political families that ruled in 2020 in our timeline
