In 1934 Upton Sinclair ran for and lost the California governor's race in one of the nastiest elections in US history, but WI he'd won? WI FDR decides not to run for a second term & Sinclair gets the Democratic nomination, how does he fare as President during WW2?

Uptown Sinclair was a socialist meaning he had no chance for the presidency and back then California was not as nearly as liberal as it is today. Unless you’re going to inform me how close the race was with Upton Sinclair I simply do not see it happening I’m sorry to burst your bubble. America never really was all that receptive towards Socialism compared to Europe. While it is true that there have been certain moments were Socialism has been better accepted and never really talk to the main stream acceptance except arguably and arguably not today after the Bernie Sanders Revolution
