As no European royals in the 18th or 19th centuries married into African royalty of any description and right when Queen Victoria’s children were of marriageable age (1862-1885), Britain was at war with Ethiopia (67-68) and forced their Emperor to shoot himself. After that point, Theodore’s son was under British protection, but died at 18 of pleurisy. The next bloke on the throne was killed by the Mahdists and had but two sons, one who died early. Menelik II takes the throne in 1885, which is too late for any of his kids.
The practicality is one thing, but no English Royal or even aristocrat is going to marry a Black African in the 19th century.
