It means that request made from this forum to a ProBoards server, except the maintenance mode page or the shoutbox refreshing. What purpose does that serve? Forum requests are requests made to the server for a single page. More clearly, a forum page can make several requests at a time for a page. For example, you can have multiple images embeded in your page, therefore the page has to make one request for each image in the page. A page view is simply how many times a page has been viewed. You can see the activity of the forum (and visit by bots) has gone up by huge numbers sins two months when the forum began to become real active. |
