You have to be an American to really get that one. See next...
WTF? Why the hell, even in a play like that, would you have a role like that for a child?
1. It is a joke. 2. Did your father teach you how to swim? Mine threw me into the water and jumped in after me to show me how to do it. It teaches two skills, how to swim and how to handle fear. "Sink or swim."Kind of idiomatically appropriate since it was "The Boston Tea Party" which was the "sink or swim" moment for us, Americans. And of course; someone has to be the "tea". Political protest as metaphor.

Political protest as economic maneuvering you mean. It had a lot more to do with the fact that the EIC supplies were undercutting the smugglers who organised the raid..

Stole from India and then they stole from us. That is called a seesaw metaphor. We only resorted to tea parties when the need arose. ( There was more than one.) (^^^)

Continue believing your creation myths. The correct version was that a divided Britain was defeated by France, Spain, the Netherlands and some traitors in the colonies.

We get to write our own history, Steve. It is not myth. The point of view matters. We are looking at it from outside the London event horizon.

When you make up your own history that is the definition of a myth.
I'm not interested in the rabid idiot viewpoint but the actual facts. People who are too lazy to do anything but hate can be trusted to have bad judgement.

We have gone through our mythic phase. It is a fact that imperialists and their victims hang on to their delusions. The rest of us have to move on and address the present to make the future. We need the Helium 3. That is why we are going back. And I see no hate in that attitude that we bring to things. Why would there be any in the pragmatic necessity?

A colleague came to me once and asked "Is 50 zeroes a lot ?" "Depends on their position and timing..." I said; "if they are after a decimal point today, no, it means nothing... but if they are above Pearl Harbor, about 81 years ago, then yes, it means something." ===============================================================================

What's the difference between Tsarist Russia and the 1980s' Soviet Union?
In Tsarist Russia, power went from father to son.
In the Soviet Union, from one grandfather to another grandfather.

What is the difference between and One of them was killed and eaten by snakes sent by Poseidon according to Greek Myth. The others were the spirit guide animals for Colonel Custer. Now you know that if you throw a spear at a gift bearing Greeks you meet a bad end, or if you listen to your spirit guide you will not be Custer at his last stand. Or to put it another way Lao (old) is bad, but rac is good. If CUSTER had paid attention, he would have been reserved against cancellation.

Berlin 1945. The Red Army has entered the city, it should be obvious to every last one that the war is lost.
In this situation, the "führer" sneaks out, changes into a Soviet uniform, removes his moustache, then approaches the next Red Army officer and informs him: "Secret mission fulfilled! The Reich has been utterly destroyed!"

Damn it. Someone discovered the truth. He will have to be liquidated!
Well Hitler as a deep Soviet agent probably makes many of his policies more sensible than the conventional viewpoint.

Götz von Berlichingen and Goebbels meet. Götz: "I'm the knight with the iron hand!" Goebbels: "And I'm the man with the fiery tongue!" Götz hesitates, then turns around, bends over, and says: "And still!" Hint: "Quoting Götz" means in German "Lick me in the ass."
