'Sentient Fungi Starting On January 1st, 2019'. How sentient are they. Oh, probably smart enough to question, contemplate, innovate to a limited extent and understand (if not necessarily find a way of communicating with) humans. To have them go further than that--i.e. elite fungi comprehending quantum physics, for example--seems like too much.

'All American Colleges/Universities To Founding Dates'. That will be a 2nd Revolution in many ways. Agreed. Modern MIT getting sent back to 1861 would be a STEM boon for the Union of that time period, especially with the civil war right on the horizon.

Seeing as Caltech gets sent to 1891, it'll certainly have its chance to completely alter the scientific and technological progress that takes place in the 20th Century.

Famous cult Leaders get given articles on major disasters yet to come
I had a weird dream last night where Charles Manson got given a print out of the Britannica article on Watergate, and David Koresh gets a print out of the Britannica articles on the 1993 WTC bombing and 2001 September 11 attacks.
Given the kind of people they were, what do they do with this information?

Given the kind of people they were, what do they do with this information? Nothing as nobody would believe them. I'd probably have to second that, save for a minority that's already invested in the cults run by said figures. Still, I wonder how politicians, journalists and commentators would react if they were eventually proven right and the disasters they preemptively predicted ahead of time did indeed occur.
...Or, maybe their words would wind up buried and forgotten a while before.

I think the Germans might be screwed if a ASB makes the Typhoon replace the Hurricane during the Battle of Britain.

Because that seems to be maybe a one (maybe several more)-hit wonder that'd clip enemy planes' wings in short order for a few engagements, but would eventually require maintenance and repair that--unless the means of performing both have been ISOTed back to WW2 Germany--won't be achievable with '40s technology alone.

I think the Germans might be screwed if a ASB makes the Typhoon replace the Hurricane during the Battle of Britain.
Presuming all the supporting infrastructure was in place, including pilots, groundcrew, people working in the relevant supply and support industries. Otherwise they would have a very limited life, only lasting until the ammo and spares were used, up even if the people at the airfield were able to operate and support them. Plus you would have to change the airfields as well as I suspect that Typhoon couldn't operate from the short grass strips that I think made up the bulk of fighter command airfields in 1940. However even if they lasted a couple of weeks you would do a hell of a lot of damage to the Luftwaffe and your then still got the Spits, plus presumably the industry to build more Hurricanes while trying to get as much tech leap as you can with what you can find out from the Typhoons.
Now if the ASB introduced the Hawker_Typhoon, with the necessary infrastructure and production facilities and with the teething problems sorted out, that would be much easier to support and with its performance and firepower I wouldn't fancy being in the Luftwaffe in the BoB.
PS Dam it! Must type quicker as ninjed by Zyobot.
