What if evry country was ruled by the largest company that is located in the country. Then corporate/plutocratic power would be even worse than was true during the Gilded Age, though actual conditions for the people living under the given company might be debatable.

'WI The Earth Actually Was Flat?' The People who think that Earth is round will be considered Round Earthsers. I wonder what sorts of rambifications this would have for physics. And compared to the round rest of the planets in the solar system, the Earth would stick out like a sore thumb in more ways than is already true IOTL.

'Ancient Societies Start Speaking Modern Languages'. I wonder how the Romans would adjust to suddenly utilizing strange new tongues like English, for example.

'WI People No Longer Felt (Physical) Pain?' Seems there are already those kind of people out there.

'WI People No Longer Felt (Physical) Pain?' Seems there are already those kind of people out there. I'm sure they exist somewhere. But I'm referring to ASB warping reality so that no one feels physical pain anymore--all seven billion-plus human beings who are alive today.

This would be a very bad Thing, pain exsists to make that the body doesn't damage itself. Without pain, you wouldn't notice that the furnace you are leaning against is boiling hot, or that you aren't wearing warm clothes in -20 degrees celsius, or that you are sitting on a colony of biting ants. Read this article for what it would be like.

Read this article for what it would be like. Yeah, that's one of the consequences I was afraid of. But sometimes, I think that the intensity of pain that can be experienced in certain cases is overkill.

What if the moon was made of cheese.
Well the 1st obvious question is is both the total mass and the size affected. The former especially would have nasty implications for Earth as it would affect tides at the very least and possibly also the orbits of both bodies. If mass stayed the same but size changed, presumably being somewhat bigger as cheese isn't ordinarily that dense, then it would be physically bigger which would be recognised immediate as both its size and distance from the Earth would be noticed - as IIRC people make regular laser measurements of the distance.
After that I'm not sure what reaction the cheese in question - Dutch Edam? Does that mean the moon turns red? - would react to both radiation and the extreme temperatures of space, plus that its in a vacuum. Not sure of the chemistry but without oxygen its not likely to suffer biological decay but there will be impacts.
It could make future space exploration more difficult as Luna could no longer be a practical base and source of important materials for constructing bases in Earth orbit or providing say fuel and oxygen for longer ranged missions.

That would would be a funny timeline
it would be explored because it would make well
lol
Yes you would have lots of conversations

What if the moon was made of cheese. I wonder what would happen if the other planets in our solar system were made of cheese instead? The Sun would still remain its fiery yellow star of a self though, to avoid instigating a mass death scenario by riding Earth of its vital stellar light source.

the first thing that came to mind was a deathstar made of cheese
with rick moraniss from spaceballs this would make a fun comedy
