If U.S. still exists as IOTL, would the United States try to conquer the Bruneian Empire if it still existed, in this timeline, Japan would not be hostile against the Bruneian Empire because they already have a buffer which is the territory in Luzon that Bruneian Empire did not conquer which would have tributary relations to the Bruneians.
Would the U.S. be interested to occupy the Bruneian Empire and turn it into a territory like they did with Hawaii because apparently, the Bruneian Empire's territories would be still strategic for the United States(which is basically majority of the OTL Philippines and Borneo), would the United States pull an hawaii on them?
