The first image in this post is PhotoshoppedHere is another aircraft that never flew in our timeline but does in the world of Drake’s Drum. In OTL, the Fugaku went through many different design phases, the assumption here is that the design of the ‘Final ‘Z’ plane’ version of the project is frozen in July 1943 and proceeds with modifications (such as the pressurised crew compartment) suggested by the specifications and mission profile. In OTL, no final version of the project has been found but we know that it was cancelled in August 1944. The basic shape of the aircraft used here is that of the ‘Final Z Plane’ (fifth image) while the nose shape is from a sketch done from memory by Nohara Shigeru, the designer of the pressure cabin of a later version and published in ‘The memory of Fugaku design’ by Susumu Watanabe printed in Aireview Magazine, No.848, May 2014. (Sixth image.) The designation ‘G10N’ was never officially attached to the Nakajima ‘Z’ project. In Drake’s Drum the Fugaku is used in a raid on Portland, Oregon that has enormous historical impact. The final picture is gun camera footage from an American interceptor. The Beta version of the IJN Air Arm Appendix is now up at the Drake’s Drum website and a page of photographs from book 3 Drake's Drum: Currents of Fate has also been added.

The G10N 'Fugaku' would be on part with the Convair B-36 Peacemaker i think.

Due to Article 9, none of these designs would be used for the JASDF. In World War II, this would have been another resource drain for Japan.

Well it would be a symbolic resource drain and a propaganda victory if one of those G10Ns could have bombed either a target in Hawaii ore the West Coast. It would have sent the American public into a panic. Remember how those balloon attacks were kept under wraps to prevent a panic? Even one of those balloons reached as a far as Nebraska but knowledge of it was only unearthed in the 1960s! If this was the case, the Americans would have called for B-29 to continue firebombing Japan in response to this. The atomic bombings would even be more justified.

Think New York is a bit to far for them, but still looks good, as well as this one: In an alternate timeline where the Imperial military is not dissolved, or Article 9 does not exist, here we see a JASDF G10N on its way to Korea to support UN forces.

No, i just create model of g10n that destroying huge west coast city with 2 nuclear bombs. Would 1 not be enough, also can the G10N carry more than 1 bomb, i assume they weigh almost the same as the American atomic bombs used on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
