Lois Lowry's 1993 book, The Giver, portrays a collectivist, futuristic, altogether foreign society simply known as the Community. Its residents live sanitized lives and by stringent, even dictatorial statutes. Precision of language, telling one's family unit their dreams at breakfast, and a formal apology for every interruption are just some of the bizarre rules that virtually all citizens must follow, on penalty of being released into elsewhere. However, while we real-life readers might find the Community to be one heck of a strange place, we're still able to comprehend them. The Community residents trying to comprehend us, on the other hand, is a completely different story.
So, what would happen if the Community were suddenly sent to Lincoln County, Nevada on January 1st, 2021 (which, not so coincidentally, is close to Area 51)?
Thank you in advance, Zyobot

Implicit in The Giver is the suppression of memory, achieved through some sort of advanced psionic technology. Once 'out of range', then the various restrictions on colour fade away from Jonas. If that did not carry over with the journey, then they would collapse very quickly. If it did, they would still be in a world of hurt, as their weather control and crop optimisation would no longer function.
The two societies would interact and, upon the @ USA finding out about some of The Community's practices, the larger entity would forcibly take over the smaller.
