With Skynet in full control, it is easy to fake real codes and if not, if any boomer commander gets word of a massive launch against the enemy ore reports of a massive enemy counter attack, i surly know the commander will respond by firing his weapons, orders ore not. gillan1220 , you mean this scene: Yeah that scene hits hard. You can hear the frantic calls from state commanders and missile silos trying to confirm the launch or if they were under enemy attack (likely SkyNet made a ruse that Russia or China started firing their nukes towards the CONUS). You can see John Connor trying not break down as the apocalypse is occurring. One day he was a guy without direction and his future wife Katherine Brewster is practicing vet and the next day, they became the leaders of the resistance. Judging by the looks of it, the Crystal Peak EOC looks very outdated. The computers look like it came from the 1960s/70s instead of 21st century. I'm amazed the equipment there still works. Older stuff was made to last. We likely could have that for newer tech but we make them to be replaced every few years. I believe its called designed obsolescence. A 1960-70s era computers would likely still be able to work for 100 years or more so long as it wasn't damaged too badly by water or somebody messing with it.

By Salvation, we would see that the Resistance has become so organized to the point it has an air force and a navy.

This explains how John Connor contacted other surviving military units from Crystal Peak. By Salvation, we would see that the Resistance has become so organized to the point it has an air force and a navy. While it would be hard to do many of the world's VIP's would be moved to nuclear resistant bunkers upon seeing the nukes flying. Also keep in mind that we would have people like his mother who would be ready for something like this. Canned food, weapons, air and water filtration devices and maps of the nearby area. John has a way to talk to people and what few didn't die from the attacks would likely have a way to talk to him as well. I would guess for the first days or weeks the airwaves are mostly just filled with him asking if anybody is alive. The place he and his wife should have enough food to last two people at least a year. It was meant to be when the US VIP's (The top level of our government) would go to to survive something like this. So it should have food stores big enough to feed around 20-50 people for weeks.
