B-52 losses according to Wikipedia: B-52 Stratofortress—31 total (17 in combat, two more being scrapped after sustaining battle damage, and 12 crashed in flight accidents) First losses were operational (non-combat) mid-air collision 2 B-52F 57-0047 and 57-0179 (441st Bomb Squadron, 320th Bomb Wing), 18 June 1965, South China Sea during air refueling orbit, 8 of 12 crewmen killed Final loss: B-52D 55-0056 (307th Bomb Wing Provisional) to SAM 4 January 1973, crew rescued from Gulf of Tonkin  |

I doubt China would support them either due to being 2,000 year old rivals. China did support North Vietnam: China in the Vietnam WarOnly because both saw the U.S. as a common enemy. However even at this time, the North Vietnamese were rather suspicious of the northern comrades. |

Imagine seeing Hueys and Blackhawks fly alongside each other in Vietnam. Would be nice to see but i think by 1980s the Vietnam War will have die down a bit as i do not think North Vietnam can keep it up, We will end up most likely with a hotter version of what is not the divided Korea. Speaking of which, would an extended Vietnam War also result in the introduction of upgraded variants of the M551 Sheridans? There where upgraded version of the tanks, but they came in the 1980s like this one, the M551A1 - Upgraded M551 with AN/VVG-1 laser rangefinder.  |

Doubtfull considerring that much US armed forces military equipement designed in 1970s were mostly think in terms of a "Air Battle" warfare against Soviet Red Army.
If Vietnam War get any longer than OTL, i can see ARVN fighting alone and/or probably a cease fire between North and South Vietnam around 1979-1980.
An Alternate ARVN in early 80s would have probably invested a lot into counter-insurgency operations and would rely massively on OV-10 Bronco and upgraded version of Bell AH-1
