I know this scenario sounds a bit too much like the choices you have from EUIV, but I wanted to ask this in a more, realistic scenario:
How likely was it for Poland and Lithuania's union to end prematurely? Given the dysfunctional Jagiellon princes who often ruled both Poland and Lithuania as separate entities, there was a chance that the Union between those two nations would have ended. For Poland, a worse interregnum would have resulted in a random noble, or someone from Mazovia, taking over the Polish throne, while Lithuania's Jagiellons would have declared itself a kingdom.
