As it says in the title, this thread is for discussing all things Minecraft. Not just regular gameplay, but also the endless mods, memes, and general commentary that the game has fueled over the years. So, a few days ago, I downloaded a modpack called RockitWorld, which is based around this neat mod called Create, which is an engineering mod that adds lots of cool machinery and automation to the game. I've been playing this for about 10 years now . Here's my recreation of Neuschwanstein, which I built in Survival mode: Cool stuff, man. I wish I were that good at building, though the fact I've been playing it noncommittally on and off over a few years hasn't done my building skills many favors. Nor has my preoccupation with gathering resources and twiddling my thumbs in anticipation of what I fantasize about building, as opposed to actually building it. Hopefully, I'll rectify that habit soon. Anyway, here's another Minecraft YouTuber people might like. Their more adult, less hyperactive delivery appeals to my sensibilities, at least. I started it in 2013, and it's still not 100% finished (although, that's largely because I lost inspiration partway through, and didn't work on it for long stretches of time ) |

Yeah, torches don't look good spammed all over the place. I remember cringing internally at having to place torches, torches, and more torches every eight or so blocks when first getting into the game. Glowstone wasn't readily available to me, either, and even if it were, it'd have eventually gotten old to see it everywhere. Naturally, it's about time that lanterns became a thing, which are easier on my eyes, in any case. Anyhow, here's a couple more modpacks, this time two separate editions created by the same developers. It doesn't overhaul the gameplay or "atmosphere" of Minecraft as much as other mods, but here's something that adds a convenient little feature, nonetheless.
