This is the reduced design with only six main guns b and c carrying them in the 3-A-3-A layout. H3a featured both turrets forward of the superstructure 3-3-A. H3b and H3c featured one turret amidships as in the G3 design, b having both turrets raised a deck (the forward turret of H3b is reminiscent of the historical Veneto's after turret) while H3c had both turrets on the main deck level. All are flush-deck designs.
