Nuclear fusion power is always available a decade from now in scientific predictions. The author also seems to have assumed that sending things into space would get cheaper with time. It's clear either costs for everything were well underestimated or the author was just throwing predictions together without doing research. The latter is true with most charts of this type I see. Still, it's fun to see what people were saying about the future in past eras.
The telescope prediction came true, though it came a few years late.

Have found The Usborne Book of the Future PDF where the time charts belong to ( link here).

Was an interesting read, even if most of the predictions would be laughable or economically unviable now, if not impossible.

I was lucky once to see the Enterprise (the space shuttle not the space ship from Star Trek) when it was still located at the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum several years ago. A thing mention in the book are called the Heavy Lift Vehicle, we use something the same but its called the Automated Transfer Vehicle in use with the European Space Agency.
