I think changing the effects of 2008 recession and butterflying the death of Trayvon Martin will help Romney. It could because it would mean that Trayvon Martin and Zimmerman will not bump into each other. However, I believe something else similar would take its place. The magic of butterflies leads me to agree here. |

Keep in mind while we are discussing this, there are African-Americans that are either unfairly detained due to racial profiling or shot by racist cops/vigilantes. The reason why the protests for Mike Brown, Eric Garner, Freddie Gray, and George Floyd were intense is because of the body cam footage (even though Brown tried to get Officer Wilson's firearm). How Romney will address the equivalent of these would be interesting. EDIT: James G kasumigenx actually since this is an alternate 2013 and Romney is already the 45th president, the Trayvon Martin incident already occurred. |

In my opinion a more milder 2008 recession is what would help Romney to get elected, in my timeline H1N1 prevented the Trayvon Martin incident it from happening. |

Big question is whether Romney would handle Duterte ? My knowledge of Filipino politics is minimal so sadly it won’t become a big part of the TL. I should say this TL as well as my others are on hiatus until this summer when I can actually work on them. |
