I would think that Disney buying Star Wars is a controversy in itself, but perhaps Paramount or Universal Studios might be the ones buying the Star Wars franchise. It also helped that Lucas's risky decision to take a hands off approach ultimately allowed him to plan ahead for the alt-sequels. If I had to pick a guy to play the role of Jack Sparrow, I'd lean towards Aiden Gillen, who played Littlefinger in Game of Thrones. I'd also say that Keira Knightley (who played Padme's double) might be a better fit for Padme, although I could also consider Rosamund Pike or Eva Green as another potential candidates for Padme. For Anakin, I'd lean towards either Michael Adamthwaite, Robert Pattinson, or even someone obscure. Or perhaps the butterflies here would mean 21st Century Fox and Lucasfilms would not sell the Star Wars franchise at all. Another possible actor for Jack Sparrow: Robert Downey Jr. Keira would be a great alternative to Padme for this TL. I wonder what changes will occur to the prequels. I.E. let's say Qui Gon survives and maybe more Jedi survive Order 66. Downey Jr. would be a good fit, and he might also be a good fit for TTL's Malazan Book of the Fallen tv series (ITTL, Harry Potter is butterflied away). Qui Gon had to die in order to have Obi Wan train Anakin. Although I would see two or three more Jedi survive Order 66, as well as the clone troopers that sided with the Jedi over Palpatine. There could be some financial issues that led to the OTL decision to sell the Star Wars franchise to Disney. ITTL, with the way Kemp is conducting his wars, plus some more questionable economic stuff that's going on, the Star Wars franchise would still be sold.

So yes its butterflied away but there might be an equivalent that will take its place. Lord of the Rings can still occur here, as the book was published in 1954. Same for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory which was published in 1964 but we can have the 21st century remake with Downey Jr. as Willy Wonka. What will be the difference by Revenge of Sith in this ATL 2008? What about other dinosaur films like Jurassic Park? Will there be an equivalent to Resident Evil games and the revival of the zombie genre? (in OTL, the zombie genre stagnated in the 1990s but with Resident Evil and T he House of the Dead being released in 1996, it propelled the zombie genre for the 2000s/2010s. Perhaps another game will make zombies famous. The butterflies here is that Resident Evil may not be zombies at all but paranormal entities since that was the original plan for it).

BTW, what happens to a certain Elon Musk? Given that Musk would still become the head of SpaceX, almost the same fate as OTL, although given that the Space Program would revive in the US and the ESF, I could see more extensive research into space exploration and space colonization happening ITTL. Downey Jr. would be a good fit, and he might also be a good fit for TTL's Malazan Book of the Fallen tv series (ITTL, Harry Potter is butterflied away). The appearance of Ahsoka should occur in TTL's Star Wars Episodes 2 and 3. Jurassic Park on the other hand, I'm not sure if there will be massive changes in it. And I'm not familiar with the Resident Evil games, so I couldn't comment on it.

One thing I agree here. Musk would still have SpaceX and Tesla as per OTL. I don't see the butterflies occurring here affecting that. The appearance of Ahsoka should occur in TTL's Star Wars Episodes 2 and 3. I'm happy Ashoka Tano will have a much greater role here. Jurassic Park on the other hand, I'm not sure if there will be massive changes in it. Maybe Jurassic Park can be closer to the novels here.

I felt that Lucas didn’t do any justice to the Star Wars franchise with the exclusion of Ahsoka, so TTL would definitely have done so, plus I also added references to OTL’s sequels with the First Order too.
The only thing left is to address LotR and the James Bond franchise.

I don't know. With a PoD in the mid 80's and such drastic changes a hell of a lot could happen in economics and business. Checking Musk's record he was only 15-16 when the PoD happened and still living in S Africa at the time, albeit only for another couple of years before he moved to N America for university studies. Especially since there have been huge changes in the US where most of his career has been.

True, though ITTL Musk would reside in Canada, thanks to his Canadian born mother. Alternatively, he would have decided to move to Australia, which may be a bit more logical, as there might be a good chunk of the South African population that resides in Australia IOTL.
BTW, next update will be another sports update, though there may be a nasty surprise though.

Sorry, but this is going to be another OMAKE. The main update is taking too long. --- OMAKE Seventeen: Go Wherever Your Heart Desires"President Kemp's Plan EuroPeace was a major source of anxiety within the intelligence circles of the East Slavic Federation, as he did not hide his intention to break up the East Slavic Federation. Yet, even within that very same intelligence circles, there were also plans in case Ukraine and Belarus wanted to break away from the ESF. For instance, the Russian population in Ukraine had not relocated to Russia as President Burbulis and his successor, President Azarov, had hoped. In fact, the merger of the three ex-Soviet republics had allowed Ukrainians and Belarusians to relocate to areas within Russia proper, while Russians continued to relocate to areas within Ukraine and Belarus. Moreover, the growing population of the former Afrikaners, who later reclassified themselves as Boers once again, had become a growing minority within areas of the Pontic steppe, where their expertise in farming had come in handy. The success of the Boers would also inspire other Western Europeans to immigrate to the East Slavic Federation, where living conditions are cheaper, but more suitable for raising families. Starting in 2004, approximately 6.3% of the immigrants that arrived in the East Slavic Federation came from Great Britain, and this consisted mainly of the non-prikhodnik English, Welsh, and Scots. A few Dutch entrepreneurs and other businessmen who were attracted by the growing prominence of the Boer business community inside the ESF also moved there, to take advantage of the low tax rate that the Azarov government had implemented on new business ventures. However, the ESF was hesitant to accept immigrants from Africa and Asia, although approximately 25,000 Filipinos have settled in the ESF since the rise of Artemio Tadiar, though the Filipino population in the ESF had actually declined due to the preference of the Filipino refugees to go to either Western Europe, the Anglophone nations, or Japan. Surprisingly, Armenians continued to immigrate to the ESF despite the diplomatic tensions between the two countries, but this was only possible because of the historical presence of the Armenian diaspora within Russia proper. Still, integration into the society of the ESF is weirdly enough, difficult, given the traditions that have been revived since the collapse of communism. The ESF was soon touted as the next frontier for venture capitalism by the ECA, which saw the opportunity for integrating the ESF into its wider community, but old Russophobes and Cold War hawks had proved to be an obstacle to such a thing." From the short documentary, 'The East Slavic Federation as the new Wild West', released by TASS.--- "It's going to be difficult to impose the kind of territorial and geopolitical changes we want on Russia, due to the presence of the Russian population in Ukraine and Belarus. Not to mention the Boers who resettled there after they were expelled from South Africa in 1995. Assuming that we could readjust the borders with Russia, how will we deal with the Boers who chose to live there? We cannot return them to South Africa, or they'd die the minute they step foot on South African soil. We could welcome them into the United States and Canada, but their presence would become troublesome for other South African refugees who fled because of Apartheid. What should we do then, Mr. President?" Zbigniew Brzezinski, asking Jack Kemp on the Boer Issue.---AUSTRALIA ROCKED BY RACE RIOTS OVER THE ARRESTS OF SUSPECTED RAPISTS OF IMMIGRANT ORIGIN, POGROMS LAUNCHED IN MAJOR CITIES AS ASIAN AUSTRALIANS URGED TO STAY HOME Sydney Herald October 19, 2000Rioters beat up a man of immigrant origin in Sydney's other suburb of Cronulla. Kareela and Cronulla were at the epicenter of a racially charged riots over the arrest of the Kareela Thirteen on charges of rape.(Sydney) - In what is seen as Australia's most shocking rape case, around 13 men were arrested by Sydney Police in the suburban region of Kareela, on charges of sexual assault in the third degree, sexual assault in the second degree causing bodily harm, and other charges levied against them. The suspects, who were of Middle Eastern origin, were arrested after an anonymous phone call was made by a bystander who wished to remain anonymous. The ringleader of the group, Mahmoud al-Beiruti, appeared in a Sydney court to answer for his crimes, but news of the nature of the crime has infuriated the public. Various far-right political parties had used the Kareela gang rape incidents as proof of their hateful rhetoric, and in response, the local Muslim community had launched a counter-demonstration against the presence of the far-right extremists. Unfortunately, many far-right supporters who came out to support the victims of the Kareela Thirteen were, like many other far-right extremists living in the West, had fought in the former Soviet Union during the Second Russian Civil War.
"We understand that our emotions are out of control when it comes to this issue, but instead of just taking it out on the people of color who had no choice but to come to Australia due to violence in their homelands, we should criticize our own government for mishandling the situation," says One Nation member John Fischer, who was busy addressing the outraged public. "We're much better than this, so let us prove our enemies wrong."
Unfortunately, Fischer's words fell on deaf ears as members of the disbanded Australian National Action extremist group carried out a series of firebombings that targeted businesses owned by immigrants and other visible minorities. They also firebombed bookstores that sold left-wing literature, resulting in fights between the victimized anti-fascists and the far-right extremists that fought along Kareela's Rival Street and Westward Street. In addition, mosques were also vandalized and splattered with pig's blood and ham was often left in front of the doorstep to the mosque, causing supporters of the Kareela Thirteen to lash out at any non-Muslim Australian they saw. The descent into violence and chaos was so destructive that Australian Prime Minister John Howard threatened to deploy the Australian Army to break up the riots.
"As Prime Minister, I condemn the actions that both sides had committed. While it is understandable that justice is sought for the victims of this heinous crime, it would be a grave disrespect to the victims themselves if they saw the chaos that unfolded because of it," said Prime Minister Howard over a televised speech. "In addition, I call upon all Australians of visible minority origin to remain in your homes until the riots subside, for your own safety. I cannot stress this enough; you are welcome to live here in Australia, because you chose it as your new home."

So what is the population of the Boers in the Vostokoslavian Federation?

Roughly between 1 to 2 million, depending on the numbers at that time. However, it could have also fluctuated as well, due to emigrations too.

So, not an OMAKE, but this map here should explain Jack Kemp's Atlantic Assertion, the Bo Doctrine, and the Ivanov-Sukarevsky Doctrine (TTL's version of the Dugin Plan) now updated:

Total f**king insanity. Three moronic idiots, all committed to mass slaughter and enslavement. It was looking for a while like the ESF along with the European bloc would be centres of stability and rationality in the chaos being prompted by the megalomaniacs in charge elsewhere but it seems like it also had a bad dose of the insanity bug.
We know that Kemp's stupidity doesn't come to pass, at least in the short term. Hopefully its the same with the other two. You really have a dystopia potentially pending here RS.

Literally choose your poison. I'd take the Kemp doctrine instead of the Bo Doctrine because at least the Philippines won't be under China.

Yeah, it’s basically a Catch-22 scenario in this case, although the Ivanov-Sukharevsky Doctrine might envision the Philippines as either a Finlandized nation, or annexed by Mexico. Thankfully, it was leaked ITTL.
