Interesting that Clinton ended up forming/joining a 3rd party but presumably that ends up going nowhere given the electoral system? Rather ominous about a few veterans joining another party, which I'm guessing ends up even more right wing than the Republicans are in TTL. Definitely not going anywhere at all. Ross Perot tried that in OTL and failed but he did indirectly help Bill Clinton win the White House in 1992. EDIT: This opinion from The Liberty Champion why voting third party rarely has an impact. In fact, it helps the winning side only.

True, and like OTL, we won't get to see President Hillary Clinton at all.
The hard-right in America ITTL would be James Traficant's ATL National Revival Party. IOTL, he appeared on the Sean Hannity show and uttered something anti-Semitic over the show. ITTL, he might become an even more dangerous figure for the right to rally around, given that one of his proposals ITTL is the abolition of the Federal Reserve.

There may be some events you may want to include in China such as the USN visits in 1986 and 1989, the HMY Britannia visit to China in 1986, and the Chinese ship Admiral Zheng He visit to Pearl Harbor in April 1989:
November 5, 1986 - The USS Reeves, USS Oldendorf, and the USS Rentz visits the port of Qingdao, marking the first time American warships returning to China since the USS Dixie left the mainland in 1949 as Mao's armies were about to take over. That could be covered in an OMAKE, though I would have to go all the way back to the early days of the post-Marcos period for this to be covered.

By the way, I guess COVID won't happen here, or it did already? With a POD as far back as 1986, that's a sure way to butterfly COVID away. Other diseases may come to take its place though.

No, but there is a hint of an ATL pandemic in the Zambezi Flu pandemic, which I will mention in a future OMAKE. However, the Philippines might also become an epicenter of an alternate pandemic, depending on how fast diseases could be spread due to its post-war like condition. I could see Tadiar prioritizing sanitation in this case.

YASIEL PUIG RECEIVES 10 GAME SUSPENSION BY NAPB FOR DISPLAY OF BEHAVIOR ILL FITTING OF A PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL PLAYER OVER FIGHT WITH DEMSOC ACTIVISTS IN VANCOUVER Vancouver Sun May 30, 2016
(Vancouver, BC) - Vancouver Cedars RF Yasiel Puig was notified by the North American Professional Baseball organization that he is suspended 10 games for violating the 'Model Professional Athlete Act' that was introduced in 1997, as part of the inauguration of the North American Professional Baseball that served as the successor to Major League Baseball. The 'Model Professional Athlete Act' requires all athletes to stay professional in their capacity as athletes, and to not get involved in any political activism that might become a liability for the entire organization as a whole. Puig's suspension stemmed from an incident in downtown Vancouver, where he went out for a walk with fellow teammate and First baseman Edwin Encarnacion along Robson Street, and had gotten into an altercation with several local activists who held a rally in commemoration of the death of Fidel Castro, who was executed by hanging on May 30, 1999. Puig, who was originally from Cuba, had shouted his opinion on Castro, before he was booed and the activists descended on him. Once the activists threw the first punch, Puig proceeded to kick one of them into the ground, and was only stopped by the intervention of VPD officers, who were at the scene, as well as Encarnacion and Pitcher Hyun-jin Ryu, who had to restrain him.
"The Act is really stupid on the NAPB's part, you know," comments Puig after a press released confirmed his suspension by the League. "We still have a right to support causes that we are sympathetic to, and it also allows us to act as role models for future athletes and activists."
As part of the 10-game suspension, Puig forfeits around 14% of his salary earnings, to be donated to the family of the activist whom he had assaulted, although defense lawyers have insisted that Puig acted in self-defense before stepping beyond self-defense into aggravated assault. The League is also considering allowing Puig to be charged with assault, but the NAPBPA has agreed with Puig's defense lawyers on citing self-defense as a reason. Yet, more left-wing activists around the world have protested against Puig's citing of self-defense, saying that his comments had provoked the activists that led to the fight in the first place.
"Yasiel Puig should know better than to incite a group of progressive activists with his anti-social comments. Just because he came from a country impacted by American imperialism, doesn't mean he can behave horribly towards us," comments one local Vancouver left-wing activist, who refused to disclose her name. "Yes, your family may have suffered, but at least you were not being oppressed by capitalists."
However, the left-wing activists' comments only emboldened Vancouver Cedars fans, who are an anomaly as being more right-leaning, as opposed to their counterparts in the Vancouver Whitecaps of the NAPL, the Vancouver Ramparts of the NFL, and the Vancouver Canucks of the NHL. Cedars fans staged a counter-demonstration in support of Puig, and has resorted to fights with the left-wing activists as well. In fact, many of the Cedars fans come from the local Filipino, Indonesian, and Vietnamese communities, which many of them were recent arrivals after the 1995 Spratlys conflict. Chase d'Arnaud, who is half-Filipino, has also been suspended by the NAPB for violating the same act Puig violated, only in his case, his crime was posting politically insensitive comments on the Sino-Philippine relations in the upcoming Loren Legarda administration.
"I agree with Yasiel Puig on the idiocy of the Model Professional Athlete Act. In the end, baseball players still have some connection to politics, and we have to educate ourselves on the current political crisis because it affects us all," says d'Arnaud, who rotates between Infielder and Outfielder for the Cedars. "We must also strive to become positive role models for future generations, and the Act will certainly deprive those youths of role models."

CAROLINA HURRICANES SEVER TIES WITH DRAFT PICK OVER PAST ASSAULT CHARGES, PLAYER IN QUESTION OPTS TO SIGN DEAL WITH HC DNYPRO KYIV Washington Post June 24, 2018
(Raleigh, NORTH CAROLINA) - Facing an intense scrutiny over their pick in the 2nd round of the 2018 NHL Draft Pick, the Carolina Hurricanes were forced to part ways with prospect Goaltender Andy Kilkenny when they learned of his past criminal record from the time he was charged with second degree assault causing bodily harm. Kilkenny, who originally lives in St. Louis, Missouri, had been a rising star in the minor leagues as the goaltender who placed a minor league record of 3 shutouts in three consecutive games, before having his shutout streak snapped in a game that his team still won. Yet, his past crimes had not been revealed until one of his victims, who is now 19, had revealed to the NHL that Kilkenny had once beaten him up over a minor dispute, before descending into a brawl. Moreover, that very same victim, who was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, had once heard Kilkenny promising to do to him what Josef Mengele did to his victims, causing him to lash out, resulting in his near death experience.
"Andy was a horribly human being. I was teased for being autistic when I was in elementary school and in high school, but Kilkenny almost killed me that one time," comments 19 year old Tomas Kasongo, originally a refugee from Zaire. "I spent a month in ICU because of a fractured skull, and I was stunned that he didn't go to jail for what he did to me."
The NHL is facing enormous scrutiny for its lack of awareness when it comes to drafting players with questionable personality traits, in addition to their preference for watching their skills in actions. However, since the violent murder of 14 African American civilians at the hands of neo-Nazi mobs in Chattanooga over the commemoration of the expulsion of the Boers from South Africa after the civil war of 1995 ended this year, the Kaine Administration has started addressing issues of systemic racism in American society, while at the same time warning about the resurgence of neo-fascism after the 20th anniversary of the end of the Second Russian Civil War when the veterans of that war started to emerge as leaders of a growing neo-fascist movement that aimed at violently destroying the resurgence of what the neo-fascists see as 'neo-Bolshevism'. To the shock of the NHL, Kilkenny had also been revealed to have been friends with three known skinheads who frequent bars that are a favorite of other white nationalists.
"This is the South, but I don't think we can tolerate this kind of behavior from our citizens here," says North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory when he heard about the Hurricanes' selection of Kilkenny. "As far as I'm concerned, Andy Kilkenny will not be allowed to represent North Carolina in a Hurricanes uniform as long as he lives."
Instead of apologizing for his past actions, Kilkenny opted to sign a 3 year, $23 million deal with the Eurasian Ice Hockey League's HC Dnypro Kyiv. Unlike the NHL, the EIHL does not require its players to undergo criminal checks, making it an unlikely attractive destination for North American players who would otherwise have not been allowed to play in the NHL if their criminal past is revealed. The EIHL's reputation as a hotbed for disgraced North American players had also garnered criticism from the International Ice Hockey Federation, who had viewed the Russia-based league with suspicion. In addition, all the teams within the EIHL have a hardcore fanbase that were often tied to extremist organizations, in a similar vein to how their football counterparts have a smaller but more loyal fans who are known to hold extreme views. Various sports organizations have tried to tackle the extremism prevalent among fans, but faces difficulty from within the Russian government, as well as the governments of Russia's constituent republics. One notable player who has emerged as the poster child for extremism within organized sports is Russian hockey player Mikhail Dmitrievich, who plays right wing for the Russian EIHL team HC Primorye Vladivostok, but is revealed to have ties to the People's Party of Russia led by Aleksander Ivanov-Sukharevsky. One of the most controversial judicial reforms targeting underaged offenders was to send them to a reform school with a large focus on sports, in a law titled 'Kliment Yakovlev Act'. Named after a former youth criminal turned ice bandy player Kliment Yakovlev, who was charged with robbery and assault, the Act bearing his name was intended to reform young offenders through channeling their energies towards sports.
"If we had the same kind of approach as the Russians did in terms of preventing any more crimes committed by underaged youths, we would not only be able to develop disciplined players, but we could also reform those troubled children as well," comments NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman when asked about the methods employed under the Kliment Yakovlev Act. "Boys like Andy Kilkenny wouldn't have any trouble with the law if he was subjected to that kind of reform as the Russians did, but the Act in itself is controversial because it did leave a kind of ambiguity on what kind of crimes would be committed in order to be qualified for reform school."

THUNDERSTORM FIRES COUGHLIN FOR ABYSMAL PERFORMANCE DURING LAST SEASON, ANNOUNCES GARRY MOELLER AS NEW COACH Portland Tribune April 12, 1999
(Portland) - The Portland Thunderstorm organization has announced the departure of Tom Coughlin as head coach of the team, and his subsequent replacement with Gary Moeller. Moeller, whose only coaching experience was with the college football team, the Michigan Wolverines, is an unusual choice for the Thunderstorm, as it is widely expected that they would hire someone with an actual NFL coaching experience. However, Thunderstorm GM Trent Baalke and owner Jannie Mouton have addressed the issues facing the team, ranging from a lack of player development system to terrible coaching. While it is understandable that the Portland Thunderstorm is a relatively new team, their surprise performance in the 1996-97 season had indicated that the Thunderstorm's players were ready for the big push towards the Super Bowl, but were unfortunately defeated by a stronger Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
"Gary Moeller will be a necessary guy in the upcoming years for the Thunderstorm," comments Baalke, during a press conference in downtown Portland. "He has also given us valuable advice for the upcoming 1999 NFL Draft."
Portland's main issue from last season was in defense, and their main focus in the draft would be to select more defensive players, and to leave the selections for offensive players until the 5th round. Although Portland holds the first pick overall, the recent shocking announcement that they are trading it to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for two 2nd round picks, and one 4th round pick was nothing short of a dangerous gamble. In hindsight, Cleveland had its eye on QB Tim Couch, which Portland is not interested at the moment, preferring to acquire a Quarterback in either the late rounds of the Draft, or to acquire one through free agency. In addition, the growing financial crisis facing the Canadian Football League has also factored in the NFL's increased scoutings for CFL players who were interested in playing professional football should the CFL dissolve its business. In fact, before the 1997 season, Portland made another signing of a CFL player in DB Jackie Kellogg.
"Seeing as Portland's original roster when it was first built consisted of free agents whose teams were not interested in signing them, and were only picked up when no other team would choose them. That initially played to their strengths, until their weaknesses were displayed for all to see," comments Fontes when asked about the Thunderstorm's issues. "I honestly think that we need to rebuild everything from scratch. I would keep only a few veterans around to act as mentors for the new players, while focusing more on player development for the newer players."
It is unclear as to what Coughlin will do after he leaves the Thunderstorm, although rumors are abound that Coughlin was offered a coaching role with the CFL's Edmonton Eskimos after Don Matthews turned it down in favor of a coaching role with the Cincinnati Bengals. In addition, the Portland Thunderstorm still has a lot of work to do, before regaining their competitive edge. However, they are interested in trading some of their key veterans for more draft picks, which might also given them an edge over their rivals in the Seattle Seahawks.

Chapter Sixty-Six: Cutthroat Capitalism in Kemp's American Reich
"It didn't matter if you were genuinely anti-war, or anti-imperialist. In the minds of Jack Kemp and his neo-cons, if you oppose the corporate fascist structure and the neo-liberal cutthroat capitalist policy that they are implementing on Cuba and Nicaragua, you are declared a communist and a Red, and the CIA has a third faction they called the Cudgels, who are essentially agents with literal licenses to kill and torture. It is not an accident that Guantanamo Bay and Chattanooga became centers where captured Cuban and Nicaraguan prisoners of war were tortured for information. In February of 1999, President Kemp had passed another executive order, which calls for all captured enemy soldiers to be re-classified by an old title: disarmed enemy soldiers, or what they now call the Enemy Combatant. Under Kemp's Executive Order No. 13066, all Disarmed Enemy Combatants are hereby exempted from the Geneva Convention, and thus are not entitled to any humane treatment. Under this executive order, abuse of Cuban and Nicaraguan POWs became more rampant, and the torture sessions were so brutal that 54% of the tortured detainees were murdered soon after. What was worse, was that Kemp had used both the Corsairs and Cudgels as his personal tools in America's quest to rid the world of international communism. The Cudgels were practically James Bond clones outright, with the license to kill status. The Corsairs were heavily involved in the smuggling of weapons into various right-wing movements in Latin America and Asia, with Artemio Tadiar's dictatorship being the heavily favored customer of the CIA Corsairs. Starting in 1999, the Kemp administration had floated with the bizarre idea of creating a Caribbean Federation that will consist of Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands, with the Dominican Republic being a potential candidate to join the proposed federation. Not only did Congress consider that a horrible idea, but it also gave credence to the Chinese notion that it was hypocritical of America to assert its right to dominate the Americas when China wasn't allowed to do the same thing. However, President Kemp had always stressed the difference between the two nations: America was doing it in the name of freedom, while China is doing it in the name of totalitarian communism. Unfortunately, the stark differences went out of the window when in 2001, the East Slavic Federation would launch an invasion of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan to root out Islamist cells that have sprung up throughout Central Asia. Although both China and America would condemn what they saw as 'Russian aggression', the Russians within the ESF government merely pointed out to their own expansionist ambitions and often told them that they were hypocrites to criticize the ESF's actions. It was then, that no minor nation had trusted the superpowers ever again. Not even Canada, with its large geography and small population, had trusted the US, China, and the ESF. The ECA started to take up the lion's share of Canada's trade volume with the rest of the world, with the United States fallling to the 2nd most valuable trade partner of Canada, with the entire ECA becoming the 1st. South Korea emerged as the 3rd largest, with Japan falling to a distant 4th. However, the US had essentially turned Cuba and Nicaragua into a captive corporate colony, where American businesses were free to invest in their economies, and exploit the cheap labor of the locals there. Totalitarian neo-liberal economics, as the Cuban left-wing exiles who settled in Venezuela had often described the post-Castro period in Cuba. Former Contra rebels who fought the Sadinistas had now taken over Nicaragua, with many of the Contras becoming willing collaborators of American corporate imperialism. Over an additional 45,000 Nicaraguans who opposed the Contras were outright murdered, with 36,000 Nicaraguan refugees fleeing for Venezuela, Brazil, and Colombia. In Pyongyang, the Kim regime saw how the Americans used brute force to destroy communism in those two states, and rightly feared that he might do the same. Tragically for Kim Jong-il, he was proven right, when it was the naval vessels of the former South Korean Navy that ignited the Second Korean War, which would become one of the most brutal conflicts of the 21st century in terms of body counts." VENEZUELA ON THE VERGE OF CIVIL WAR AS PRESIDENT RAFAEL CALDERA CALLS FOR POLITICAL REFORM, VENEZUELAN EXILED REBEL CALLS FOR REVOLUTION Dallas Morning Tribune February 13, 1999
(Caracas, VENEZUELA) - Venezuelan President Rafael Caldera today, called for all Venezuelans to remain calm, and not to resort to political violence, amidst a growing economic crisis and threats of a military coup still present in the country. The pleas for calm have often fallen on deaf ears, but this time the chances of a military coup is unlikely, as the 1997 Venezuelan purge against the military had been effective in removing officers and regular soldiers who belonged to the banned organization, the Revolutionary Bolivarian Movement - 200, with Ramon Rodriguez Chacin being the most prominent of them. However, since the American invasion of Cuba and Nicaragua and the fall of the Fidel Castro dictatorship, Chacin has been staying in Colombia, along with many of his followers. Sources close to the Venezuelan and Colombian governments say that Chacin's presence in Colombia is most likely connected to his ties to the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia. However, a FARC spokesperson had confirmed reports that Chacin's agents were inserted into key leadership roles within the FARC, in hopes of reorienting the group towards a kind of left-wing social nationalism that is similar to the Syrian Social Nationalist Party.
"General Chacin has been a dominant figure in the Latin American leftist movement since the Americans had captured Fidel Castro, and the fact that he's taking notes from Syria, rather than their communist pals in China and North Korea, is an indication that they intend to impose a revolutionary order from the top," says Venezuelan general Raul Baduel, who maintained a sense of loyalty to the Caldera government. "I fear for the survival of South America, because the most dangerous thing to happen in the Americas is a left-wing military junta arising, which will give the Americans an excuse to carpet bomb our country to the Stone Age."
Venezuela's fears of a left-wing revolt is widely seen as nothing short of mere paranoia, in the minds of the current government. However, the presence of left-wing rebels in Colombia had raised fears of a potential invasion of Venezuela from the coalition of FARC rebels and MBR-200 exiles led by Chacin. However, the mood of the Venezuelan public is not in favor of the current government, and in fact, they were hopeful for Chacin to launch a revolution against President Caldera.
"All of our elected officials have functioned as America's subservient lapdogs in our nation. Fidel Castro has murdered a lot of people in his quest to kick the Yankees out of Cuba, but the United States took its revenge on the people of Cuba, and as a result, they are now facing a possibility of total genocide, just because they said no to American imperialism and cutthroat capitalism," says minor activist Nicolas Maduro, who addressed the supporters of Ramon Rodriguez Chacin and the MBR-200. "However, I also think that fighting American imperialism with Marxism is not the answer. We need to combine our push for socialism with our love for our nation, and the calls for a pan-Hispanic alliance and unity to push back the Protestants. We must regain the lost honor and prestige of the first South American nation to have been formed in our Wars of Independence from Spain. We need to reform Gran Colombia as a progressive and nationalist state."

Excerpts from the Book Review on "Lindbergh's American Empire" By: Anonymous Reviewer Eureka Book Reviews
"When reading the beginning of Lindbergh's American Empire, I thought at first it would have been one of those ASB moments when Charles Lindbergh is elected President, but they actually went with the survival of Huey Long, resulting in a massive change in the American political climate. Huey Long was convinced by populist figures to make a run for the presidency in the 1936 election, which he hesitated at first, before accepting, with Charles Lindbergh as his running mate. Roosevelt's re-election in 1936 had enshrined the New Deal in the process, and his eagerness for the United States to enter the war on the Allied side had been exploited by both Long and Lindbergh to their advantage. Another assassination attempt was made on both Long and Lindbergh, through a letter bombing attempt made by radical elements within the Communist Party of the USA, though the real culprits were rival gangs who wanted to usurp the Presidency. It took the deaths of Henry Wallace (Roosevelt's VP when he was President), Burton K. Wheeler, and Thomas Dewey for the United States to spiral into a Second Civil War, with the Nationalists led by Long and Lindbergh, and the Solidarists led by Harry Truman and his erstwhile running mate, Cordell Hull. The Second American Civil War was one of the most brutal conflicts of the 20th century, and the ferocity of the Second American Civil War also spilled over into its overseas territories: Cuba and Puerto Rico would declare their independence, while Hawaii and the Philippines gradually gravitated towards Japan. As a result of the Second American Civil War, the Allies had a tougher time battling Germany, Italy, and Japan. While at the same time, the Axis Powers also struggled to defeat the Allied forces with their meager resources, resulting in the Second World War being a slugfest. Meanwhile, a failed coup in Yugoslavia had ensured that Germany would invade the Soviet Union on schedule, though the invasion of the Soviet Union had ran into the same problems regarding logistics and German incapability to adapt to winter warfare. However, the terrible performance by the Red Army, along with Stalin's suicide, would ensure that the USSR would collapse after the Second World War is over. In the USA, the Nationalists eventually triumphed with the Southern states being attracted to the populist message that both Huey Long and Charles Lindbergh had propagated, ensuring their support. However, they would remain neutral, due to the need to rebuild their economy that was shattered by the second civil war.
The world as of the alternate 1960s were as follows: in North America, the United States had slowly rebuilt its economy, but it did not recognize the independence of Cuba and Puerto Rico, and with its reconstituted military, it retook those territories. Hawaii rejoined the USA with Japanese recognition of the Americas under US sphere of influence, with Asia being consigned to Japanese influence, including the organization of the Philippines as a joint Japanese-American condominium. Meanwhile, the Long-Lindbergh administration would also make one of the most infamous deals with the Nazis in the Sayre-Ribbentrop Treaty (Sayre being Francis Bowes Sayre Sr.), where the US promises to stay out of European affairs and giving the Germans a free hand. Though the result was that Germany had performed better on the Eastern Front and managed to knock out the USSR out of the war, causing a Second Russian Civil War different from our timeline to break out, the Germans failed to take advantage of the power vacuum, and as a result, the SS would launch a coup against the Nazi leadership and took over the reins of power in the Third Reich. Yet, numerous guerrilla wars throughout Nazi-occupied Europe has the Nazi dictatorship on the brink of collapse, while what is left of Russia after its European core is sheared off to form the Reichskommissariat Moskowien, is mired in a new Age of Warlords, before a Bonapartist-like figure arises to reunite the nation once again, though it has degenerated into a Nationalist-vs-Republican struggle, much like how America had gone through the second civil war, only it is more brutal.
The book felt like it was rather rushed, with missing context being present from the story, although I must commend the author who took the time to research everything about the Second World War, and American politics in the 1930s. When the author wrote this book, I sensed that he's channeling much of Huey Long and later on Charles Lindbergh into Bob Dole and Jack Kemp, respectively, with FDR being the Jesse Jackson of the book. Yet, I don't understand why the Second American Civil War is depicted as a rather blatant copy and paste of the civil war in the Philippines after Ferdinand Marcos fell from power, when it could have been completely different. I understand if he's tried to insert some influence from the Spanish Civil War as well, but different situations would call for different solutions in this case. From what I can gather, the current politics exercised by the Kemp administration is the main source of inspiration for the author's book, and its loud anti-fascist and anti-communist message is clear. There is a bit of libertarian influence in there, but the author is no Ayn Rand. Overall, when you read Lindbergh's American Empire, you could see into a dystopian vision of what a fascist America would look like. The main theme of when state and corporation merge together is loud as well, and the dangers of military dictatorships are also an occurring theme. Also, there is something I must point out in President Kemp's foreign relations and that of Lindbergh and Hitler's relations with other nations. The alliance between Kemp and Artemio Tadiar is eerily reminiscent of Hitler's relationship with Admiral Horthy of Hungary, but then again, the state of the Philippines as a Japanese-American condominium in the book is almost like our version of the German-Italian condominium over Croatia during WWII. Overall, I would recommend this book if you're new into this whole alternate history genre, but if you're familiar with said genre, I would read this with a bit of salt."

"Fellow Americans! Since my late husband's murder at the hands of the Cuban military, which in reality, was masterminded by the CIA, I have become an advocate for peace. The fact that our own government is conducting expansionist policies on behalf of multi-national corporations is abhorrent and atrocious, as we are not a people who can exploit the misery and suffering of other nations for our own benefit. The Kemp administration was a total disaster for American morality, as we were lumped with the likes of China's Wang Dongxing and Russia's Mykola Azarov. While I could say that the Presidency of Carol Moseley-Braun was an improvement, the erstwhile Presidency of Dick Gephardt was merely a caretaker administration, but it did lead to another Democratic presidency of John Edwards, with John Kerry as his VP. Yet, our American Unity Party, along with whatever deplorable mob that is James Traficant's National Revival Party, are accused of vote stealing from either one of those two parties that were going to win. Listen, you ignorant fools! America is in danger from itself, because we are often stuck between two diametrically opposite sides! It's like choosing between two football teams to cheer for, when you can choose to just spectate from the sides! We are not 'vote stealing'; we are tapping into the sentiment of those who have been burned out by the Democrats and Republicans! I should know, I was a former Democrat before I founded this great party. I will tell you what is at stake here: the soul and fate of America is what we are fighting for, and with this current system, we will never get a voice in Congress. Perhaps it's about time we adopt the same kind of electoral system as the French have, with a 1st round to decide who gets to advance into the 2nd round of the elections, followed by a runoff, unless the candidate gets a 50%+ vote in the first round. This will be my biggest campaign platform in America's electoral history: a Constitutional amendment that will introduce a two-round system into our elections, instead of first past the post. Then, we will enact real chance for our great country. With your help, fellow Americans, we will make America peaceful again! And when we do, America will be better together than ever!" Hillary Clinton, on her self-nomination for the 2020 US Presidential election on the American Unity Party platform, Vice President running mate revealed to be Cynthia McKinley, September 2020.

CUBAN INSURGENTS LAUNCH SERIES OF CAR BOMBINGS AGAINST US OCCUPATION FORCES IN BARACOA AS FEARS OF UPRISING REMAIN ACTIVE Dallas Morning Tribune February 12, 1999
(Baracoa, US-OCCUPIED CUBA) - US occupation forces continue to suffer casualties from the latest chain of car bombings, as Cuban insurgents and paramilitary forces constantly launch new raids on American army outposts. Official military authorities have reported that as many as 175 American Marines have been killed in the attack alone, with an additional 213 injured. Although the Kemp administration is confident of their capability to handle the occupation of Cuba, their difficulty now lies in finding any Cuban official willing to handle half of the administration of the country. The difficulty arises from constant assassinations made by Cuban insurgents on any former Communist Party official who chose to defect to the US occupational authorities while renouncing their allegiance to the Communist Party. In the end, the US occupational forces had once again turned to the Cuban exile community for help in finding and building a functional caretaker government that would govern Cuba, until the right time to decide on what Cuba's fate will be like will come.
"We find ourselves turning more to military solutions to what is essentially becoming a political problem in Cuba," announces US Military Governor for Cuba and Supreme Commander of the Cuba invasion force Paul Van Riper, during a briefing in front of other military officials. "Every day, more American Marines and regular Army soldiers die from attacks caused by the Cuban resistance. Unless we come up with a functioning solution to this problem, we might resort to measures that may earn us the hatred of the international community."
Although General Van Riper has authorized the Cuban exile community to recruit more of its members for pacification missions in their liberated homeland, much of the Cuban population had grown to distrust the returning exiles, due to decades of political indoctrination imposed on them by the Castro dictatorship. In addition, while Cuba's economy have started to recover from the devastation of the war, its command economy system is still an obstacle for the military occupation authorities to overcome, as they are seriously attempting to introduce a policy of gradual liberalization of the occupied nation's economy. Yet, General Van Riper fears the possibility of American multi-national corporations taking over much of Cuba's public and private sector, with no possible foreign competitors that are eager to invest in the financially crippled Cuban economy. However, numerous anti-occupation protests have sprung up throughout Cuba in response to the planned formation of the caretaker government.
"We do not recognize the puppet leadership that will take orders from the Yankee imperialist, and we will never surrender our sovereignty!" yells one Cuban protester, who took part in the march against the American occupation of the country. "Even if Fidel Castro is executed, we will forever enshrine him in our hearts, for he gave us a chance to fight and resist the Yankee imperialists. We will continue to resist, even if the fascist Kemp tries to exterminate not only our revolution, but all of us as well!"

"Dad, I think Cuba is fast becoming a robber baron's fantasy land. Everything here is so cheap, you can literally buy whole segments of its shattered industries with the same price as you would pay a three bedroom house in suburban Dallas. There's also a potential source of cheap labor in the country, and they are eager to rebuild and transform the country from a decrepit, post-war and post-communist hellhole to a prosperous land. However, I think we would make a mistake if we simply gave its independence back. We should push forward the idea of the Caribbean Federation, so we could also buy out most of the Puerto Rican industries there. We're gonna pay Castro back for all the lost American businesses that were destroyed during the Revolution, and our family will profit in full. What we need though, is for our friends in the CIA to make sure that the planned Caribbean Federation goes through. Cuba will be ours to mine for years to come." Ross Perot Jr., in a conversation with his father on President Kemp's plans for a post-communist Cuba.

Wow, they turned Cuba into their private fiefdom. Well, it's more along the lines of Cuba before Castro, only with a vengeance.

Gods this is a right royal mess. Kemp is screwing over the US and most of its neighbours. I love that line
As by the time its said the US have already done exactly that. Sounds like when Kemp's removed it might not get much better. American has pretty much gone back to its 19thC imperial expansion phase. Between deep internal divisions, along with presumably the assorted C groups of terrorists probably still operating, the bitter costs of brutal occupation policies and the mistrust of the rest of the world its going to take a long time for it to become a respected nation again and long term decline could be a significant problem.

Lamar Alexander is the VP to Kemp, and Dick Gephardt is Moseley-Braun’s VP. And for Dole? Who was his VP? Who will Moseley-Braun's successor be?
