I remember the Bradley-Linebacker... but this is something else. Looking at image I it seems this system was to be design to move along the normal M1 tanks.

I believe Bradley's are meant to keep up with M-1s. Putting an air defence system in a tank chassis would give it more protection, I guess: enemy gunners would be targeting AD assets to allow their own supporting air power to come into play.

Found out the weapons systems of the M1 Abrams Liberty II by checking the Crotale (missile) Wikipedia page:Liberty Forward Area Air Defense System: 6 R460 SICA or 6 VT-1 missiles mounted on an M1A1 Abrams chassis along with a pair of 25mm cannons
This matches what can be seen in Image I and II.
