Let us say Boris Johnson wins the Conservative party leadership in 2016. How does his premiership go? When does he go for a general election?

I suspect a clearer and stronger line on Brexit, rather than May's waffling and undermining David Davis. If he can avoid it I suspect he would avoid a general election as he has a majority. Of course with a leaver winning the election how much more restless would the Tory remainers be?

The majority was a tiny one though, which gave May all that initial trouble... though how she would have loved to have kept it. The Remainers were certainly still there and I have a feeling that Boris would have had several in his Cabinet too.

Brexit probably goes on time by March 2019. I wonder what Bo Jo's views on migrants crossing the tunnel or the channel be like.

Fully agree and there's going to be a lot of infighting in the Tory party. However I think there will be a stronger support for the British position in the government. For instance if the EU tries something like the OTL mockery of Davis sitting at a photo-opt with a blank pad of paper while the EU side have masses of boxes of alleged paperwork it could backfire on them spectacularly. Both by Britain pointing out why Davies wouldn't have any details on show as part of government policy and probably a comparison of the open mind Britain is willing to bring to the issue with the massed bureaucracy and demands of the EU. You wouldn't have the PM seeking to undermine Davies as some sources suggested May did a number of times. It would weaken the EU position and might even make them negotiate in a serious and responsible manner rather than the irresponsible and dishonest way we saw OTL from Barnier and Tusk - although I wouldn't expect that latter without a lot of struggle.

Going to be at least as hard as OTL as he's tied himself more to the hard Brexit side than May had so expect a very strong opposition to illegal economic migration, at least in word if not in action.
