So did a count, if i counted right as of November 21st 2018 of the 383 members we have: 1 Admin of the Forum. 2 Inspector Generals. 1 Commodore. 1 Captain. 1 Lieutenant Commander. 1 Lieutenant. 4 Sub-lieutenants. 6 Warrant Officers. 16 Chief petty officers. 8 Petty Officer 1st Classes. 24 Petty Officer 2nd Classes. 43 Seamans. 60 Leading seamans. 239 Seaman recruits. That's quite a number. But I honestly believe that we should rename you Admiral of the Forum. And the officers seem a bit thin-spread. But over time, that will change.

Well the problem is that in the future we will have several admirals, with stevep being most likely the first one, so i will keep the tittle Admin of the Forum as the tittle of admirals will be given to regular members. Also can we crew a light cruiser with 383 members.

Possibly a modern destroyer as they have a relatively small crew with a lot of automation. Not sure about a cruiser as their pretty large nowadays - a modern DD is about the same tonnage as a WWII cruiser.
Could definitely crew a sub or two and checking the current Vanguard class of SSBN they have a crew of 135 according to Wiki so we could operate the current British deterrent force. - Provided you assume we actually have the competence and skill sets- which could be an issue.

We do have a lot of petty Officers on board, also having me on board a ship with two generals and one commodore might make captain James a little bit nervous.

I'll do my best to pretend to be a good lieutenant. I know very little that's directly applicable, but at least I can sail (and swim). Although I've never sailed anything large. The Zeven Provinciën had a crew of 420, so we'll soon get to the point of being able to man a ship of the line.

Well that gives you two advantages over me.

raunchel , it will be a pleasure to captain a battleship with yourself aboard. Sailing and swimming are worthwhile virtues if the engines give out or if the battleship sinks. Of torpedoes, nuclear-tipped torpedoes would deal with any other battleship: don't you think? However, I am not joining in with an impressment party! That violates many British, European and UN human rights violations. I like the Netherlands but I don't fancy a trip to The Hague... one made in chains.

Of course we wouldn't force them, we would just impress them with our magnificent battleship. Obviously. I'd never do anything bad.

Well if you where a American then the United States Marines would rescue you, thanks to the American Service-Members' Protection Act ore also known as the The Hague Invasion Act.

Don't make jokes about that with the current US President.
Missing a pun about naval traditions is embarrassing for someone who likes to think of themselves as having a fairly decent knowledge of naval history and related matter but hardly something that would get me prosecuted [persecuted] under human rights laws?

And James G, I have taken the liberty of getting you your battleship. The Remonstrantie, armed with ten 14" guns and the lead ship of its class.

Well then lets back to the ranks than shall we. I think stevep you will not be able to become Rear admiral in 2018, 2019 is more likely for you getting a desk job ore what a Rear admiral does these days.
