I already read this book and it is now considered alternate history. I would like to think it's from a POD where the Trump-Kim summit never occurred, thus leading to tensions that spiraled where North Korea attacked the U.S., South Korea, and Japan with nuclear weapons. It is written in the style of The 9/11 Commission Report. Wikipedia summary here for those who want an overview.

Jeez... the casualties from those strikes, even the indirect ones elsewhere (fallout) would be immense.

Jeez... the casualties from those strikes, even the indirect ones elsewhere (fallout) would be immense. The fact America loses New York City, Arlington, and Mar-A-Lago would hurt the area. New York being hit would cripple Wall Street and the strike on Arlington would also contaminate the nation's capital.

Does it apply to free comic websites as well? Depends on what sites. The name of the site read comic online. As for the discussion for this story, I never expected Kim Jong Un to be that batshit crazy to launch a nuclear attack against the U.S. Furthermore, I am wondering why the air defense systems of Japan such as the AEGIS systems of its Kongo-class and Atago-class destroyers fail to intercept the missile headed for Tokyo. I'm also wandering why the U.S. could not shoot down ballistic missiles headed to the CONUS. It is beyond me why the THAAD battery in South Korea didn't function. What do you think James G stevep

What do you think James G stevep Well... the writer needed to see the missiles work for the story. No one knows if ABM systems would work. Countries cannot look at the other sides systems to fully know the true capabilities beyond their own assumptions. Maybe the short range ABMs got a dose of a rocket strike too.

So much for the U.S. having the best ABM around the world. This is meme worthy. Who would win? A country with the greatest military in the world or 5 Musadan missiles

Would agree with James on both points. Writer plot aim and the sheer difficulty of actually intercepting an ICBM in war conditions. With no actual experience its very difficult to tell how effective such systems would be and the example of the Patriots against elderly Scud clones in the Iraq war shows some of the difficulties.
I think with Kim's actions once the US started attacking his installations he probably decided it was the end of his regime so do as much damage as he could before being taken down.

The targets of the North Korean attack on South Korea, Japan, and the United States on March 21, 2020 as follows
Successful strikes: Japan - Tokyo - Yokohoma
South Korea - Busan - Seoul
United States - Arlington County, Virginia (two strikes, one hitting near Fairfax over an hour; original target was Washington, D.C.) - Jupiter, Florida (original target was Mar-a-Lago) - New York City, New York - Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (Honolulu destroyed a few moments later)
Failed attacks: - Most U.S. bases in Japan and South Korea* - Okinawa* - Guam* - San Diego, California (two missiles missed and exploded just off the coast) - Washington, D.C. (hit Northern Virginia instead) - West Palm Beach, Florida (target missed and hit Jupiter instead) * North Korean missiles malfunctioned or fell harmlessly into the sea
Casualties were over 1.4 million Americans killed and another 2-3 million killed in Japan and South Korea.

Funny enough, the missile aimed at New York directly exploded above the Trump Tower. Guess Kim got lucky here.

The name of the site read comic online. Even then, sites like that which i also visit and read have comics that are owned by other companies who did not receive money for this free posting on those site, as such while we can disuse things like reading comics online, anime, movies ore books, posting links to website that hose them is both against this forum rules and Proboards as mentioned below: (a) Compliance with Law

Trump was just evacuated from Mar-A-Lago just a few minutes before Jupiter, FL was struck. Radiation poisoning would be a problem here especially that big cities like Honolulu and New York are gone. Washington, D.C. may have been spared but the city would have to deal with the radiation blowing from nearby Arlington.
