A 2019 travel blog of one of the celebrities I follow here locally. GETTING LOST IN BORA | Thea RizaldoI've subscribed to her YouTube Channel. I feel bummed out of not getting to meet her when we were in the same college but unaware of each other's existence. Yes we were in the same college, entered the same school year (2013), and graduated the same year (2017). The kicker was that Thea was in the downtown campus of the University of San Carlos while I was in the Talamban Campus (see map below).  There were talks of a student that resembles Katherine Bernardo and I did not expect it would be Thea. I only fully knew of her in 2019 when Today's Carolinian went abuzz that Thea - a B.S. Accounting Technology graduate - got accepted to Pinoy Big Brother Otso. |

Touching on Filipino pop-culture or everyday life on this post.  This article from Esquire details about what happened to CD-R King, a once-mighty chain of stores that sold cheap computer parts, electronics, accessories, appliances, shirts, stuffed toys, and school supplies. At its peak, it reached around 500 stores nationwide. Now it has only 10 stores. The last time I have seen one was around early 2019 or 2020. It is stated that e-commerce caused its closure. One thing is certain was that back in the day, CD-R King is a living meme due to their sub-par low quality products that don't last a week.   Some reddit posts: |
