The Age of the Pyramid Builders - episode 26
Its interesting how short the period of the very large pyramids were compared to the history of the old kingdom, let alone the period as a whole.
I like the last touch. They definitely succeeded better than Ozymandias - albeit that character was fictional.

That and possibly as well the huge economic burden of the projects when your talking about such efforts. It could well have played a significant role in the decline of the old kingdom.
PS had to say your typo made me smile.

Evacuation Day - episode 32
Interesting insight on some aspects of the last stages of the American revolutionary wars. One thing I've heard differently is that while after the Yorktown surrender relations between the French and British were good - despite their long status as opponents and the French having done more of the fighting than the rebels, the Americans were bitterly resentful of the respect shown to their defeated opponents by the French.

The French are doing it a lot longer than the Rebels, treating your enemy good makes sure they treat your prisoners good and with other benefits in it as well

Very true and also the basic argument for the revolution required the demonisation of British and loyalist elements which I think also played a part.

The Edelweiss Pirates and WWII - episode 33
Interesting. I knew of some young groups who were opposed to the Nazis but thought most of those were more pacifist and were crushed in the early years of the war. Many thanks.
