Battlecruisers F2 & F3 (NB) - naval history - 378
An interesting option and given the greater flexibility, both strategically and tactically of their higher speed they could well have been a better option that the historical Nelson design that were built. They would have had a little less armour and slightly less powerful main batteries but would still, with some upgrades to electronics and possibly engines would have been a good match for any older or 1st generation new construction. Also with a powerful modernized 15" gun I wonder whether that would have possibly changed later designs?
