Your opening a can of worms here. There are hundreds of videos on Drachinifel's site and very, very informative. Most of it is on ships of the ~1900-1945 period, but has a lot of older stuff as well, such as the last fight of the Revenge, back in 1591 and the naval war on the Great Lakes in the 1812 conflict to name just two older ones I've viewed. A lot on ships that were never built as well such as all the designs that were formally cancelled after the Washington Naval Treaty. Also looks at issues such as what sort of infrastructure and organisation is required for being able to design and construct capital ships.
Its a massive resource but even in those time of lock-down I try to only dip my toe in occasionally for fear of wondering where that week/fortnight/month went! Definitely recommend it for anyone interested in naval history.

There was a comment on his site when I was looking at something a few days back that he has redone most of those with a human [presumably he own] voice so if any you wanted to hear but were put off they might be OK now.

The Spanish Navy in 1898 - Armada Options - naval history - 7
Very interesting summary of the conflict and how outclassed the Spanish were at the time but that if they had taken a different - albeit possibly politically difficult - decision to abandon the Caribbean and reinforce the Philippines they might have kept the latter, at least for a while.
A bit dubious on how this might have affected WWII as its far from certain WWI let alone the latter conflict would have occurred in anything like the form it did historically. IF WWI did occur in anything like the OTL conditions I could see a German purchased Philippines being 'liberated' by Japan as their top priority which would have a hell of a lot of butterflies. Also even if the Philippines weren't a US colony but other circumstances were the same I would suspect Japan would still think it essential to attack the US because the latter would still be opposing Japanese actions in China and seeking to keeping the western alliance alive as their best buffer against Nazi Germany.
Some classical Drachinifel lines, Especially like how whenever the US Congress received a large appropriations bid from the USN they "Took it out the back and beat it with sticks until it stopped twitching."

I like he metions this: What if: Spanish-America War of 1873 and as you can see, if war broke out as Drachinifel metions in the clip, Spain could have won.

Very true. The US had almost totally demoblished after the CW and was largely restricted to a few obsolete relics of that conflict while Spain was having a period of stability and a decent navy. Of course if the US decided to extend such a conflict they can produce a lot of ships that can operation in such waters and wear the Spanish down, provided that Spain gets no support. However it would depend on whether the US has the political will to undergo a prolonged war at some costs.

But it is strange to hear that the Arapiles was in Brooklyn, New York for repairs during the Virginius Affair,, thus she could not be used in any war with America as she most likley would be siezed by the United States and used against here former masters.
