Upon hearing of Lyanna Stark's kidnapping by Rhaegar Targaryen, Brandon Stark goes to King's Landing to seek the Prince out. Aerys the Mad King instead arrests both Brandon and his father Rickard Stark, and executes them at the same time, contributing to what will become known as Robert's Rebellion (along with the Mad King's demand that Jon Arryn turn over the young Ned Stark and Robert Baratheon). Then it goes on like canon and the Baratheons replace the Targaryens.
So what happens if Brandon doesn't go to King's Landing after hearing the news that Lyanna was kidnapped? Obviously Brandon would live to marry Catelyn Tully, though how would their marriage be like? Would it be different from canon where Ned was the one who married Catelyn? Moreover, if Catelyn is taken, who would Ned Stark marry in this case?
