So here are the Rules and Categories so far for the 2020 L. Sprague de Camp Awards.
The Rules:
I: The timeline must have been worked on in the period of November 2019 to February 29th, 2020 to be able to nominated for the award (This does not apply to Finished Timelines).
II: Self-nominations are allowed but the best is to have somebody else to recognize and nominate another’s work for recognition.
III: An author may remove their work from consideration for the award: If this occurs, the individual who nominated the abstained work may make another nomination.
IV: An author may have no more than two timelines nominated in one category.
V: An author may only have nominations in one of the 3 categories; thus an author who has been nominated in more than one category can, before the polls are open on March 1st, 2020, pick the category he/she feels has the best change to win.
V:: Timelines whose Authors have been banned will remain applicable; this also includes Finished Timelines.
VI: A person can nominate a timeline for as many categories as they wish.
VII: if there are no timelines that fit Rule I, then the award for that category will not be awarded,
The Categories:
I: Best Alternate History Timeline (both ongoing or finished).
II: Best Future History / ASB Timelines (both ongoing or finished).
III: Best Short Timeline (both ongoing or finished).
