Which reminds me, after WWII, the British and the French got their colonies in the Far East back even when many tried to declare independence. The Falklands will be no different.
Most definitely given that their population is British in identity and wish to remain that way. I'm not sure that may British ones tried to declare independent in that region, at least in the immediate aftermath of WWII. Possibly only Burma which probably would have gone anyway when the rest of the Indian sub-continent did.

The question is, would Argentina not remove them during the occupation and have their own citizens move in, thus they can claim that the islands are 100 % Argentinian. |

That would be a potential problem but Britain is likely to do likewise with any Argentinian 'settlers'.
