Briefly, conquest but not genocides except perhaps at the very end by the Chinese. Either the Mali or Chinese colonies bring iron and immunity to later diseases by Europeans, giving the next invaders a much more difficult conquest. There's also no reason a Ming empire in the Americas wouldn't rival European powers in size.

Are you thinking of Gavin_Menzies ideas? Their been pretty much refuted by most source I think.
