By 1914, The Democratic Party is all but dead thanks to the reforms against Jim Crow under Garfield, Harrison, and Lincoln and the more racist older elements of the South died out and was replaced by younger, more race friendly generations after a southerner attempts to assassinate Garfield in 1883 leads to another Occupation going from 1883-1902). The Party officially dissolves shortly before the 1914 Midterms, ending the Third Party System (RIP, 1856-1914) and beginning Republican One Party Rule from 1914-1933, though I haven't gotten that far as of yet. Lodge and Roosevelt were given EVs that their Party Nominees won because the Republican Party didn't want anyone to have more electoral votes than RTL's 1900 Victory. This will continue during the one party rule period in order to ensure that A) No one gets all the EVs as that honor belongs to Washington, and B) Making sure that nothing surpasses RTL's victory, though this adoration will fade from the party memory by the 1960s and 1970s.
Some things to note : During his tenure as Secretary of War and later his administration, Harrison begins the modern U.S. Navy and also supports funding to increase the Size of the standing U.S. Army in peace time as well as pour resources to make sure they have the best tech available to them. In 1886, Garfield signs an Alliance with Germany due to his pro-german beliefs and institutes military reforms under the Prussian Model.
During the RTL Administration, America goes to war with Britain, Spain, and Mexico in what is known as the Great American War (Argentina and Haiti joins the U.S. Side for certain reasons that will explained). U.S. Comes out on top after a 4 year War, annexing Cuba, the Philippines, Quebec, Dominica, Puerto Rico, Guam, Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, British Columbia, Baja California, Baja California Sur, Sonora, Chihuahua, and the Rio Grande States of Mexico. All but the Philippines are made official U.S. Territories with guarantees of statehood eventually thanks to no Teller Amendment. Rather all these territories either becomes states or are added to previous states is undetermined for now.
This is what I got so far as an idea and election outline. What do you all think about this thus far? Any ideas you would like to see added?
