I'm very excited for this . For the past six years, I've been an avid Crusader Kings II player: it's my perfect blend of RPG, strategy game, and alternate history simulator. So, naturally, I'm going to follow the development of this game very closely. Then again, this also means that Crusader Kings III has got a lot to live up to. I'm really not sure how they'll be able to improve on CK2: there's every chance that they'll amaze me, but also every chance that they'll disappoint me by taking the gameplay in a direction that I don't enjoy as much. That's kind of what happened with Civ 6: it introduced some good new mechanics, but it diverged from Civ 5 in some ways that I didn't like, so I found myself still preferring the earlier title overall. What are your thoughts on this?

Can't say myself as never played it. The only Paradox based game I've played, and not for a couple of years now, is Arsenal of Democracy. Had a brief look at the Wiki page for CKII and it sounds interesting but can't see myself having the time to really investigate a new game system in the near future. Currently most of my gaming is on the Medieval II Total War and if I ever get back to it a LotRs mod.
