Interesting. As it notes the Germans did a hell of a lot of evasion of the treaty limits although they weren't totally ineffective. While the 100k army could be expanded rapidly it meant a dilution of that skilled elite and the lack of a broad base of conscripts trained in the 20's and early 30's hindered them markedly when it came to a long drawn out fight, especially in the eastern front. Plus given the eagerness of the bulk of the establishment for further military adventures I dread to think what they might have had without those restrictions. Although possibly they would have been stamped on more quickly in such an scenario, which was the real problem OTL.

What I always read is that they began with secret re-armament on day one of the end of the war.

Most of that was about US use so but could be that's the only forces he has information for. Not surprising that elements such as logistics and the like were still used but it is that the military police were allowed to continue to use their Nazi symbols when it was removed elsewhere.

Interesting and suggests that if it had come to a nuclear exchange in the early 60's the Vulcan's may have done better than many expected against Soviet air defences.
Not clear whether all 8 were carrying bombs or if only 2 were and the others were acting as ECM a/c to confuse the defenders and didn't carry bombs themselves? Suspect the former but could be wrong.
I know the USAF has often used such measures at more tactical levels, with their wild weasels but don't know if the Vulcans had any influence on this?
I think he's slightly inaccurate on how long the Vulcan's provided Britain's nuclear deterrent as from ~1970 it was the Polaris force doing that but a very impressive a/c and still capable as late as 1982 of very long ranged bombing missions.

Think the 3 escorting Vulcan's where there to jam enough to allow the 4th one to get to its target. Also if you want to read more about Operation Sky Shield, here is the link to the Wikipedia page about Operation Sky ShieldAnd here is a YouTube clip about it called All Airplanes Grounded (1961) Operation Skyshield.
