There is also the Axis female version of Mildred Gillars (Germany) and Rita Zucca (Italy). Think only William Joyce was hanged to death for being a propaganda broadcaster. |

As Mark says apart from it being too late the decision was made, correctly in my opinion, that Hitler was better for the allies as a live idiot than a dead martyr. Plus a democratic state, as opposed to a ruthless dictatorship, sanctioning political assassinations of foreign leaders, opens a very nasty can of worms.

Well that started off with a bang, with the reference to a unit that the SS complained stained their reputation! Unfortunately it sounds like a title it deserved.  I would have said that the only similar collection in Nazi Germany were the higher ranks of the Nazis party itself. |
