In 939, King Ramiro II of Leon won a great victory over the Caliphate of Cordoba at Simancas, but he was unable to push the muslims more due to internal problems within Leon. What would've happened had these problems not have happened? How far could Leon have gone? Reconquista of a majority of Spain by the dawn of the XI C. perhaps? What would be the effects be across Europe and the Muslim world if this happened?
Bonus question : In 920, Kings Sancho I of Navarre and Ordono II of Leon formed an alliance to fight against the Caliphate but lost decisively in the Battle of Valjunquera. If the result was the opposite, what is the effect on Iberia?

Would depend on the circumstances and I don't know anything like enough details but a clear success by the Christian powers that much earlier is likely to have repercussions. Do you have any idea what sort of political alliances might emerge in a Christian dominated Spain in that period? Castile hadn't been formed yet IIRC so who might have emerged as top dog so to speak or might it end up with several feuding groups?

It'd likely be dominated by Leon with Navarre basically being under it's influence. I can see Leon pushing as far south as Toledo/Madrid and as far west as Valencia. They'd focus Granada at a later date.
