The last entry on today's WWI post is: The 1st bit I agree with but the only Kilwa seems to be in what was then German East Africa, i.e. Kilwa Island off the coast of the mainland.

Catching up on things as back in action for a few days. One small point in the WWII post for the 4th Oct you have under the Battle of the Med:
Most of this is about the liberation of Corsica but the 1st sentence is about the German capture of Kos in the Aegean.

Thanks again stevep, will edit it. Also to note in i have now reached 1944 and 1918 in preparations, the final year for one of the Real Time projects will start and in 30 days a new Realtime project will begin.

If those two pilots downed 12 Jy 87s but the Germans reported 9 lost it sounds some over-counting has occurred. Which of course was all too easy in an air battle. Unless there was another German unit involved?

I would say don't put a lot of effort into it - like zero - as its probably difficult to get details and kills are almost always overstated in air combat - along with other types. Too much chance for misunderstanding in a rapidly maneuvering air combat.
