‘What Republicans Could Beat Barack Obama In ATL 2012?’. If you discard the theory his first debate performance wasn't a stunt, Romney could've if he kept his momentum going for the second one. Mm’kay. Perhaps Romney would’ve received an overarching boost if the Obama presidency up to that point were fundamentally rife with problems, i.e. Jimmy Carter-like foreign crises and economic turmoil? Which, in turns, would make Romney into a Ronald Reagan analogue should he have won in 2012?

Maybe I'm wrong, but here's one I haven't seen too much: 'George W. Bush Wins Popular Vote In 2000 Election'. No DUI story as the October Surprise right the weekend before the election. Bush was ahead in the polls until that point, and suffered for it.

What about 'USSR Adopts Capitalistic Reforms', basically along the lines of what Deng Xiaoping did for China? I'm unsure how plausible it is for them to successfully pull this off at the moment, though I do wonder if Soviet leaders who lived to witness those happen ever gave serious consideration to implementing something similar IOTL. Alexi Kosygin in 1969 after Brezhnev is killed in the OTL assassination attempt.

Dubya didn't yet have the Iraq War to his name yet, I'm aware.

'Tim Berners-Lee Patents The World Wide Web'. He could be a very rich man, if that is possible.

'Tim Berners-Lee Patents The World Wide Web'. He could be a very rich man, if that is possible. Maybe. But then that probably comes at the expense of lots and lots of innovation likely made possible thanks to a publicly available WWW.

Could be nasty as he was just about to start a new wave of purges by some reports. By ~1960 it could be that there are virtually no one in government other than yes men and a few of the nastier elements such as Beria so the resultant succession struggle would also be potentially very bad.

Forgot about him, Beria will still be around and when Stalin dies, he might have more change of taken over.

Because I wonder if out of a mix of extreme paranoia and a habit of purging NKVD chiefs every so often, he’d target Beria next.

He might do as Beria is a dangerous character to have around but it would probably depend on whether he considered Beria's reliability to obey orders more important than any concerns about his loyalty. Also given that by some reports Beria was hated by just about everybody else in the Soviet leadership, not just for being leader of the NKVD, he might have been considered a safe pair of hands as his life expectancy once Stalin died would probably be very short. Could go either way, especially when your talking about someone as paranoid as Stalin.

'US Manufacturing Sector Stays In US'. As in, firms don't close down their factories here and outsource so many jobs and mass production overseas to developing cheap-labor havens, i.e. China and Vietnam.

I never seen a pod where William Scranton got the nomination in 64 or even 68.
