No, I don’t think either he or his subordinates has to be. So you say that he might try to get the Federation and the Romulanans to go to war with each other while he keeps the current system he has as his Base of operations and just wait until the right moment he can strike when both waring sides are at thier weakest. Essentially, yes. Vader may be brutal, but he’s not purely a brute. He heads the Imperial Military for a reason, and has demonstrated calculating, if ruthless approaches to going about his duties.

But he has one weakness, Death Squadron does not have the ability to replenish manpower, unless he goes recruiting which i doubt both the Federation ore the Romulans will allow.

Yes, that seems to be the big one. Maybe Death Squadron will invest in cloning soldiers and/or building battle droids that work on behalf of the Empire? I know that the latter may still be associated with the terror and destruction sewed by the Droid Army during the Clone Wars, but current circumstances represent a matter of survival for the Imperials. As such, they might be willing to overlook their personal misgivings about it in favor of designing some models and getting their newfound production lines pumping them out.

Well i would assume that the files for cloning soldiers ore battle droids are available to Darth Vader ore the commanders of Death Squadron.

In the short term, I assume that Vader & Co. will have to make do with producing droid models they already have the schematics for, i.e. the B-series units that originally made up the backbone of the CIS’s forces. That said, they may be repainted to reflect an Imperial color scheme. They could also somewhat invest in designs already used by the Galactic Empire they were once a part of, such as KX-series security droids.

I just found out, there is a certain admiral who is not on the good side with Darth Vader, wonder what his faith will be in the Start Trek verse.

Well, due to the record presented on his Wookieepedia entry, he may find himself "relieved of command" rather early on in Death Squadron's sojourn. That said, maybe Vader will let him live for the time being since he has limited manpower that'd be self-destructive to waste.

Ore end up commanding one of those garrison Death Squadron will build on a planet.

For me any fight between a Star Destroyer and a Star Trek ships of comparable class it will be like the fight between the Mountain and the Red Viper, strenght and raw power versus agility, precision and skill. The romulan warbird can make circle around a ST and hit him with pintpoint precision...but if he get hit a couple of time it's history, the Tie fighter are basically useless due to the precision of the weapons and their lack of shields...but more importanly it's the quality of the crew, honestly i had never much faith in the skill of the star wars imperial officers corps
