Interesting read, these days with social media on the foreground a major event like that would be much more covered by normal people as well as the media.

Thanks for that spanishspy. Interesting and raises a few memories. I had just arrived home from visiting my mum, turned on the TV - forget what I was expecting to find but I think it was just after the 2nd tower was hit but before we heard the news about the other attacks. It was still chaotic and the commentry was what was going on and how could two such "accident's" happen. I suspected immediately on hearing of the 2nd attack that it was a terrorist attack as it was too much of a coincidence for two such accidents so close in time and space.
It was humbling watching things develop with so much chaos and fear along with the bravery of many. Watching 1st one then the other tower collapse and thinking how bad it might be. IIRC the towers actually employed about 50k people or more so was expecting the casualties to be a lot higher but fortunately was wrong.
