I like to think what the greatest inventions of the decades of the 21st century will be. Once we get past 2100, it’s anybodys guess on what stuff will be invented. I believe that by 2100, everything we see in science fiction will be realized including FTL travel, time travel, proof of parallel universes, and maybe even teleportation.
Right now. Here we have
00’s: iPhone
The first decade of the 21st century, the 2000’s the take away invention was the 2007’s iPhone. That was a revolutionary invention.
10’s: Gene editing.
This decade we saw the genetic editing of two embryos Lulu and Nana. Human genetic engineering is a big step.
Now. What do you think will be the number 1 breakthrough invention of the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s? Super creative ideas are welcome and remember. By 2100 humans will be so advanced; according to my belief.

Well, I have a few ideas: - A practical quantum computer. This would be capable of solving various kinds of problems that our current computers simply cannot - and we'd be harnessing that extra computing power in all kinds of ways in our everyday lives.
- Someone might invent an awesome piece of augmented/virtual reality kit. Virtual reality has been around for a while now; however, its current implementations are either gimmicky and not very useful, or just straight-up intended for entertainment. Perhaps someone will invent something genuinely useful, that most people rely on for their everyday lives.
- I expect there to be at least a couple of items which rely on nanotechnology. Once it takes off, we'll be able to create new materials with all kinds of funky properties - and who knows how they'll be applied?
- Nuclear fusion. It always seems to be 20 years away, but perhaps someone will crack it by 2100. If they do, then it'll almost certainly be that decade's item, because it'll solve the world's energy problems.
- Biological immortality. Another wildcard, which will be hard to predict when (or if) it'll happen - but if it does, it'll be massive.

Biological immortality would be more than massive: gargantuan might be a better word! The ability to live on forever changes everything from medicine, physical space to inhabit, wealth and religion... and probably so much more.

That might depend on how its implemented. If, as could well be the case, its very expensive there is the danger of a very conservative and hierarchical culture developing with extreme differences in how people live and a deeply rooted opposition by the 'elite' to anything that could upset their position.
