Seems the 2nd trailer is out for Train to Busan 2. I'm excited to see this movie. It's just Harsher in Hindsight because a pandemic occurred in OTL.

But it does confirm somewhat that the zombies are only in the Korean peninsula, that means the rest of the world has locked of the Korean peninsula from the outside world.

Kinda reminds me of how the UK quarantined Scotland in Doomsday (2008) from the rest of the world.

It did not spread to the rest of the world. Now I'm curious if Peninsula will show a backstory opening titles. That would be interesting.

A sorry, made a mistake, was thinking of 28 Weeks Later when i type it. But i think what they did to contain the outbreak in Scotland in the movie Doomsday also can work for Korean Peninsula.

Doomsday was an interesting movie, and deserve the watch , especially after 2014 Referundum and Brexit, it shows an isolate and nearly autoritarian state ruling over a overpopulated England. Can we imagine the same for South Korea in Peninsula? I means let's imagine that Busan perimeter hold on and emerge as an autoritarian dictatorship when most part of the world engulfed into major economic crisis and WW3.

Korea being an economic powerhouse and then just be gone instantly overnight will have bad economic effects for the rest of the world. I'm thinking Korean companies overseas would be nationalized now that the ROK does not exist.

I'm thinking Korean companies overseas would be nationalized now that the ROK does not exist. Ore remain indepenent depending if they have a large presence outside the ROK. Also there are several islands of Korea that could remain part of Free Korea, like Jeju Island that is remote enough to survive.

As far as I remembered, Jeju island have some crops and local agricultural structures... Many Korean survivors can move to the island, it is twice the size of Singapore. Also it has Jeju Civilian-Military Complex Port, which can house 20 military vessels and civilian cruise ships.

Jeju island can be a "safeguard" in case of an overrun Korea, maybe far better suited than Busan?

The problem with Jeju is its too small and can't support all of Korean peoples. This reminds me in kspence92's Crossed TL on the other forum where only 20,000 refugees relocated to Jeju Island with remnants of the ROK Armed Forces when the peninsula was overrun with the Crossed and China wiped the entire peninsula with 80% of its nuclear stockpile. Last like what lordroel said, Jeju would likely become the last remnant of the Korean nation.
