In-universe 2016 Headlines by Graphic News  Looks good gillan1220 , but if the sequel comes out, this might be non cannon. It is noncanon from the start since this is a fanfic timeline. My timeline came out a a year or two before Peninsula was announced. |

With flights to South Korea halted, I'd see also a drop of flights in the East Asian region as a whole even though if places like China, Japan, Taiwan, and the Philippines are safe since many travelers would not want to be in a region near the outbreak even if it was contained. Meaning tourism takes a dip in these regions. South Koreans across the world will become outcast now that they have no home to return to.
Possibly, possibly not. If its fairly clear their been outside their country for some time and aren't infected then their well educated people needing a new home, which should prompt plenty of interest.

Possibly, possibly not. If its fairly clear their been outside their country for some time and aren't infected then their well educated people needing a new home, which should prompt plenty of interest.
I could also see some racial attacks on Koreans or East Asians from some paranoid alt-right groups. |

Unfortunately almost certainly. As Lordroel mentions there have been idiots doing things because of the corona virus and its likely to be markedly worse here. Forgot to allow for the darker side of human 'culture' in my previous comment so there are going to be both good and bad aspects for Koreans outside the peninsula.

Waking up to breakfast, I remember my mom telling me while watching the morning news that zombie-like creatures were roaming around South Korea. In the university, eveveryone was talking about it. The school's dorm had the TV fixed on the news while some people shared photos of it on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Some of the people here didn't even take it seriously, even saying that they've been hoping Left 4 Dead became a reality. Filipinos being Filipinos, they would not care until the problem was nearby. Life was usual but later that day, there would be increased police and military patrols on the streets of Cebu as a precaution. I was advised to not get into contact with Korean nationals for the fear of having the virus but this was because the WHO did not know how it spreads. I too was scared. I never expected that a zombie epidemic would occur. If it reached Cebu or the Philippines as a whole, who would have known what the damages would be. I rather not think of it. |
